Be it noted

the amount of habanero that just makes a pot of chili nice & warm, makes the same size pot of stew a touch on the hot side.

Good, though. Especially with cornbread.g

  1. Generally speaking, if I'm cooking for others, I use two habaneros and a few mixed milder peppers for about 6 quarts of chili.

    I personally prefer 4-6; or about 1 per quart.
