Last night someone linked to this story
One of the things that pisses me off about Obama is the, call it 'basic cowardice' he displays on almost everything: calling tax increases 'spending cuts', and throwing everything to a commission so he can blame problems on the commission. Like rationing health care.
Ref all the upset over that guy burning a Koran,
And as protesters vandalized a girls’ school and set fire to shops, Qurans also inadvertently went up in flames. “If they burn a shop, there is a Quran in every shop, so this is a big problem,” says Azizullah Aziz, a perfume and soap salesman in Kandahar City. “People don’t know how to protest.”
A thought occurs: maybe they just don't care, since some of them are only using the book burning as an excuse to do what they want, say, vandalize a school where girls are allowed?
What? Lies used to excuse us attacking in Libya?
That's a surprise?
And that's it. Just no interest in digging through this stuff this morning.

About the DOJ claims they didn't know about Gunwalker,
"As we now know, those assurances provide to be untrue," Grassley wrote.
And we know the DOJ claims they didn't know about Gunwalker were lies. More accurately, these e-mails prove they were lies.
I haven't been paying attention toJoan Peterson
Not getting into this; I'm tired of arguing with people like this, and damned if I'm going to the nuts' Facebook page to argue with her and the other idiots.
No, there's no inflation problem
And are you getting all those 'special sale' e-mails from places trying to drum up business?
So it's official: Obama believes all you earn actually belongs to the government
And let's not forget this piece of shit:
Called a “debt failsafe trigger,” Obama’s scheme would automatically raise taxes if politicians spend too much. According to the talking points distributed by the White House, the automatic tax increase would take effect “if, by 2014, the projected ratio of debt-to-GDP is not stabilized and declining toward the end of the decade.”
Let’s ponder what this means. If politicians in Washington spend too much and cause more red ink, which happens on a routine basis, Obama wants a provision that automatically would raise taxes on the American people.
Got that? He wants tax increases without the cowardly politicians having to actually vote on them. You know why.
One of those times you think "C'mon, just one little meteor..."

It's either a rule or that damn brownie
You know how, when some ninja-suited cop
“Some folks are asking if the proper procedures were followed. Yes. TSA has reviewed the incident and the security officer in the video followed the current standard operating procedures,” a TSA spokesman wrote on the agency’s official blog.
Well, Blogger Bob, fuck you and your procedures. You and they both suck like a Hoover with a supercharger.
So some of the idiocies the last few years at Wally World
The Sierra Club’s Carl Pope seemed pleased that Dach was inside the enemy camp, confiding to the New Yorker:
One of the remarkable things about the environmental movement is how rarely people from our side end up on the other side, and Leslie is on the other side. But Dach’s fervor only sunk the company. Andy Barron, a Wal-Mart executive vice president, told an investor meeting:
Clearly, we’ve lost some of our focus on what I would call the core customer. … You might say, in short, that we were trying to be something that maybe we’re not.A place that sold inexpensive/less-expensive stuff to people; yeah Sierra Club would see that as the enemy.
I should note Romney announced starting his committee to study running for President again. While in some ways I agree with Limbaugh who said he'd vote for Elmer Fudd if it'd get Obama out of the Oval Office... Romneycare Romney? Loves the PROM gun laws Romney? HELL no.
Heard this on radio the other day, here's the text: Trump is running for his big ego, nothing more, and he doesn't care who and how many people he screws so long as he gets stroked. Fuck him.
The New York Times released a rare and honest appraisal of of Barack Obama’s failed economic policies yesterday.
Economix Blog reported:
At a time when the economy should be rebounding the latest GDP number for the first quarter of 2010 shows thatthe Obama economic policies have failed. But, that wasn’t posted long.
When 2011 began, Macroeconomic Advisers, a forecasting company, expected that America’s economic output would shape up to rise at a 4.1 percent annual rate in the first quarter, the highest pace in over a year.
But economic reports coming in over the last few months have been increasingly disappointing.
Of course not; they realized they'd criticized The Lightworker and that just can't happen.
"Show me on the doll where the TSA screener touched you." One of these days some parent is going to beat hell out of some screener, or flatly say "No way in hell will you do that" and get arrested, and the trial just might get interesting. From the looks of it nothing else will get these assholes to knock the bullshit off.
Can't remember where found this linked yesterday: How To Handle Lawyers Threatening You. No knowledge myself, but sounds correct.
Ah, just remembered, was at the QOTD here:
I can safely say that few people have less respect for the law than lawyers. Abuse of law is not just common, it defines the industry.
Just across the border,
Soldiers found the corpses last week in San Fernando, in Tamaulipas state near Texas, and initially unearthed 59 bodies. The toll has since risen steadily in one of the most gruesome finds so far in Mexico's escalating drug war.
Well, maybe they are...
He is Lindsey Graham and he is Washington. His ego, his Politico-anointed status as one of official Washington's "top 50 party animals" comes first. It's all about me, me, me, and not that coastal state with the blazing sun and dreary flatlands filled with even drearier people, "bigots" who need to "shut up" and leave the governing to him. "I'm a winner, pal," he yelled at a heckler who called him out for supporting the Obama agenda during a rare visit to South Carolina. And you, you Tea Party buffoons, you'll be just a memory while I priss and prance from one party to the next, hailed by the New York Times and GQ magazine and MSNBC, and celebrated by La Raza, which has charitably been described as a "racist illegal alien support group." Hey, in midtown Manhattan, at GQ and Vanity Fair magazines, just a BMW billboard or so away from the New York Times headquarters, I'm one of their "favorite" senators. Heck, even Michelle Obama likes me.
RX: "'Singularly Tone-Deaf' is the ATF's middle name."
I've got a list of others to test
.45acp with my carry load, 185 grain Gold Dots
.38 Special with a reverse-loaded hollowbase wadcutter
.32 Long with reversed wadcutter
.380 with Hornady FTX bullet
.380, think I've got some Gold Dots around somewhere
.38 Special with hollowpoint semi-wadcutter; the old FBI load is considered very good, I'm wondering if it could be loaded down from +P velocity and still expand.

The Irons in the Fire Box of Truth Updated
I've had some loads I've wanted to test for months. First had to collect a bunch of water & milk jugs; a LOT, as the experiment with the M1 Carbine loads showed I'd probably need more than I might think. Then it was winter, then I kept getting tied up on other things. Yesterday I decided to get off my ass and do this, so the jugs were loaded and filled, the Box setup loaded, etc., and this morning went off to make noises and blow bottles up.
First, a couple of shots of my own Box of Truth setup(not to be confused with the original, found here; go look when you can, lots of good stuff). Notice the stylish carriage and eco-friendly construction:

I have a jack I was going to take for adjusting it, but of course it was forgotten, so I had to prop the front up with something some jerk left at the range. The test ammo and loads(where applicable) I'll list individually; the test guns(some mine, some borrowed) were
Romanian TT33 Tokarev, 7.62x25mm
Colt Model M(Pocket Hammerless), .380acp
Colt Model M, .32acp
Colt 1908 pocket pistol, .25acp
Kimber Compact, .45acp
The jugs are all 6-inches across in the main body.
WARNINGThe handloads used worked well in these arms; doesn't guarantee they will in yours. If you try these loads, it's your responsibility.
I don't have the velocity on these loads, next time have a chance I'll take the Chrony along and check them and update this post with the information. I did weigh the bullets after.
The shots were all made at ten feet, starting with the 7.62x25. The load was S&B brass, a Hornady XTP 90-grain hollowpoint pushed by 5.8 grains of W231 powder, before & after:
This is actually the second; the first I didn't have lined up quite right and it penetrated four jugs along the right side and apparently turned to the right enough to disappear; the second went center and penetrated four jugs completely, the core of the bullet was in the fifth jug and I found the jacket in the fourth. The core did upset nicely. These loads penetrated a LOT more than I'd expected, especially being hollowpoints. Weight 84.3 grains including the piece of plastic stuck in the jacket folds, so lost about six grains. Velocity: 1300fps
Next comes .380acp. This was Winchester brass and a Montana Gold 95-grain HP in front of 3.2 grains of W231.
Again, this one is the second shot; the first went a bit right(yes, again), penetrated three jugs completely and tore a slot in the side of the fourth and vanished. This one penetrated three completely, jacket found in the third and core in the fourth; not much expansion. 94.3 grains total weight. Velocity: 820fpsThird was .32acp, a Wolf Gold case, 60-grain Speer Gold Dot HP pushed by 2.5 grains of Bullseye:
First shot penetrated two jugs completely and apparently turned a bit and cut a slot in the side of the third jug and went away; this one completely penetrated the first jug and was found in the second. There was a little bump on the back of the second, but not enough energy left to penetrate. Beautiful expansion. However: after all was done and I moved the box I checked the ground and found this:
The first .32, also beautifully expanded; apparently enough energy to make it out of the jugs but then just fell to the ground. One weighs 60.0, the other 59.9; excellent weight retention. Velocity: 857fpsNext came .25acp, a Speer Gold Dot 35-grain factory load:
One jug completely, a good-sized bump in the back wall of the second, in which it was found. I was really surprised at how well this little sucker expanded. It also weighs exactly 35 grains, so lost no bits in the process. Velocity: 900fpsThe last planned shot was a practice load, .45acp using a X-treme plated 200-grain HP, Federal case and 7.0 grains of Unique; I just wanted to see if this bullet would upset at all. Nope.
The nose shows barely any deformation; if it weren't for the rifling marks on the body you'd think it was a new bullet. This sucker penetrated all five jugs and left
a nasty dent in the 2x4 back piece of the box; if the last jug hadn't been butted up against this the bullet would've been found laying on the bottom wood. A LOT more penetration than I expected. Velocity: 850fpsAfter all this I had two jugs left, so just to try it I shot them with a Federal bulk-pack 36-grain HP out of the AR15-22. This penetrated both jugs and was found embedded
in the back board. I waited 'till home to get it out; it would wobble a bit but was stuck, so I cut around it a bit so I could see it undamaged:
Not much expansion, pretty good penetration. The box says 36-grain, but this weighs 37 even on my scale. So that's my results for the day. Now I have to start collecting jugs again.
Couple of notes:
The .380 loads are from when ammo- especially for .380- was so hard to find, found a bag of the Montana Gold bullets to try. Yeah, they've been sitting around a while.
I've got some .30-caliber 90-grain Hornady softpoints for the 7.62x25, but ran out of jugs.
I also wonder how this bullet would work in the Carbine?

Wow! 'Green jobs' are a bust?
The Rheinisch-Westfälisches Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung, a German think tank, issued a report on its analysis of German subsidization of “green jobs”. The PDF is here for your enjoyment.
Not a pretty tale, for it finds that subsidization of “green jobs” in alternative energy is simply a failure.

By the way, does anyone else think stripper shoes
The platforms with two-three inches in the sole and heels about six/seven inches high? Who thought the damn things up, anyway?
What brought this up was a music video. When they went to digital broadcasting there were a couple of mv channels that appeared around here; I had one on for background noise while doing something and a Beyonce video started; it began with her clomping across a parking lot in a pair of them, and that's exactly what the effect was: clomping like a farmer stepping through a plowed field. Not exactly a thrilling effect. And it reminded me of seeing some lady at a store a few days ago wearing a pair.
I have no problems with ladies in high heels, but these things are idiotic.
I have been to VTEC territory,
I've mentioned only once or twice getting the engine high enough in revs to trigger the VTEC. In one of those 'I need to work on that' moments I mentioned earlier today I took a ride this evening. When I turned around to start back I found the ramp completely empty before me and not much traffic on the highway, so pushed it a bit and shifted into 2nd around 6k and thought "I need to try this" and ran it up to about 7500 before shifting.
Right at 6800 I felt it switch on, felt the surge and heard the engine note change deeper. Ran up to about 7500-8k to shift into 3rd and discovered I was at 85 and rapidly running out of ramp and there was some traffic on the highway so I backed off. It was impressive, and now I really want to find a track somewhere to ride this thing on.
I read that Honda got some complaints that the transition from two to four valves was too sudden and a problem for some people; this was very smooth, no problem at all. And as I remember redline on my Vulcan was around 8000; at 8k on this bike there's almost 4k more to redline. The more I ride this bike, the better I like it.
One other thing, I tried out a Throttle Rocker and think it'll work fairly well. I had a throttle lock on the Vulcan(no, I did not think to take it off before selling it) and it was great on the highway; with this you still have to have your hand there, but you can relax it and just let the heel keep the throttle in place. I need to make a trip for research purposes(that's my excuse, and I'll stick to it).
After posting a bit on Facebook about being sick
A: Clinton was wonderful and Republicans messed up the wonderful situation he left,
B: Obama is wonderful and all problems of deficits, etc., are the fault of BOOOOSH leaving him two illegal wars to fight, etc.
Apparently it's just not possible for a Democrat or socialist(awful lot of overlap there nowadays) to do ANYTHING bad or wrong. And I'm supposed to stop bitching about things because everything is the fault of people like me...
Yes, I know; I think I'm going to start using Facebook solely for contacting people I know who for some reason don't answer regular e-mails.
United Nations and French helicopters
Really? When did the UN get helicopter gunships of its very own?
Two residents from nearby neighborhoods reported seeing two U.N. Mi-24 attack helicopters and one French helicopter open fire on the residence.
Always the possibility of mistaken ID, of course, but you have to wonder.
There's a line in one of Drake's books,
I spent a lot of years with "This stuff has to be done first." Got so in the habit it's hard to just take off and do something I want instead of doing something that needs doing around the house or work or whatever. I really do need to work on that.
I should state my opinion of the budget deal:
Screw you twice. There's a reason we call you the Stupid Party.

"Yes, we will approve you having a missile defense system BUT
"I'm Lindsey Graham, and a don't really approve of this message but I do agree with it."
Mass murder at a school in Brazil, and the murderer had some religious tendencies that the media doesn't really want to talk about.
"He was so focused on things related to Islam and had let his beard grow long. He was weird, he was on the internet all day reading related issues and it was very strange, very secretive," she said.
Wellington left a letter with disconnected sentences, but with fundamentalist tendencies, said Lt. Col. Djalma Beltrame, commander of Battalion 14.
"He was on the internet using Muslim sites... It's crazy. Only a crazy person could do this to children, said the commander..."
I really don't want to hear another damned word from Sen. Schumer(Sorry Asshole-NY) about 'openness' or 'bad Republicans':
But as we reported on April 4th, the Senate was bait and switched into adopting this resolution. The no-fly language cited by the DOJ was inserted after an earlier clean draft had been circulated. Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) then pushed for passage of the resolution before any version of the resolution was made public. The Senate never debated the no-fly language and no roll call vote was taken.
The Obama administration is urging Congress not to adopt legislation that would impose constitutional safeguards on Americans’ e-mail stored in the cloud.
Because HopeyChangeyPants and his minions want to be able to read our mail without all that troublesome warrant stuff.
A rare World War Two German bomber, shot down over the English Channel in 1940 and hidden for years by shifting sands at the bottom of the sea, is so well preserved a British museum wants to raise it.
Some neat sonar shots at the link.
What? Wind power isn't what it was cracked up to be? Whoda thunk it?
A new analysis of wind energy supplied to the UK National Grid in recent years has shown that wind farms produce significantly less electricity than had been thought, and that they cause more problems for the Grid than had been believed.
...
In general, then, one should assume that a wind farm will generate no more than 25 per cent of maximum capacity over time (and indeed this seems set to get worse as new super-large turbines come into service). Even over a year this will be up or down by a few per cent, making planning more difficult.
...
Unfortunately given all this, the ROC( renewables obligation certificates) scheme is on an escalator: the amount of ROCs an end-use 'leccy supplier must obtain will rise to 15.4 per cent of megawatt-hours supplied in 2014, up from 10.4 per cent last year. The effect of this is to provide the large extra funds a wind farm needs to compete with thermal generation, by driving up electricity prices for the user: The ROC scheme is a stealth tax which appears neither on the electricity bill nor the Treasury accounts.
You really need to RTWT, and then pass it along to every wind-power fanatic you know. Just to watch them either explode in outrage or their heads explode. Both if you're lucky.
And, from where Great Britain used to be,
The commanding officers of all three Para battalions received letters telling them they were “in the zone for possible redundancy”. One officer heard the news only hours after returning from a patrol fighting the Taliban.
A similar letter was sent to the officer in line to become the next head of Britain’s Special Forces. He fought with the SAS in Afghanistan and Iraq.
The three Para commanders are completing six-month tours in Afghanistan, where one has been shot by insurgents. Another is likely to be decorated for leadership in combat.
The prospect of sacking the Army’s most experienced combat commanders led to warnings that military morale would suffer and intensified the Coalition’s political embarrassment over defence cuts.

When the ATF brass and DOJ heard about this, I bet they
Just received this link by email from Sharyl Attkisson at CBS:
They might want to start the government back up to see to their unraveling coverup.
I'm happy to see that Gillett is rolling on Newell, Melson and Company. He obviously was the first to recognize that he is no longer a law enforcement agent but a criminal and thus took the smart criminal's exit from a tight situation. All the poor Gunwalker Men. Should we pity them? No way in hell.
A top figure in the gunwalking controversy at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) is now cooperating in the investigation.
Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) made that disclosure today in a letter to ATF's acting director Kenneth Melson.)
Lord, they must've heard sphincters snapping shut and bowels loosening in the next building.
And get this:
In the letter, Sen. Grassley warns that any attempt to retaliate against the cooperating official, Assistant Special Agent in charge of ATF's Phoenix Division George Gillett, is unlawful.
Sen. Grassley also says the apparent efforts of ATF executives to stop employees from speaking with members of Congress and their staff is of "grave concern."
I think that's polite-speak for "We're pissed now; do you really want to push us further into "Let's put them under oath and see who drowns in sweat" territory?"
In the current top post at Sipsey Street:
A key leader in the federal law enforcement operation suspected of allowing high-powered assault weapons to fall into the hands of Mexican drug cartels is now cooperating with congressional investigators, providing a crucial new window into the controversial operation known as Project Gunrunner.
George Gillett Jr., assistant special agent in charge of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives' field office in Phoenix, has met with congressional investigators and is expected to provide crucial information about how dozens of U.S. guns may have been transported with the ATF's knowledge into Mexico. Agents say Gillett provided much of the day-to-day oversight of the Gunrunner operation.
One of the questions Vanderboegh and Codrea have been asking is "Which of these people is going to break first? Who's going to start talking to keep someone else from rolling over on them?" Looks like we have the answer.
Gas has gone up $.22/gallon
Come out here and tell me to buy a Government Motors car, Mr. President; I'll have some things to say to you.
If you arrest someone and have their camera in your vehicle
After the women were released without charge, and the camera returned to them, the women discovered the recording of the Garda conversation. This included the Gardaà talking about threatening to rape one of the women in their custody. They also talk about whether they should bother adhering to safety procedures for removing protesters from heights: the Sergeant advocates ignoring the rules learned in Garda training.
So now it's admitted they're studying the possibility of American boots on the ground in Libya*; and the UN is running airstrikes in Ivory Coast. Getting busy as hell blowing things up, aren't they?
I don't remember the idiots name, but a couple of weeks ago some guy with Obama's buttkissers was lecturing people that inflation wasn't a problem because 'you can buy a new iPod that's more capable for the same price as the old model!' and someone replied "You can't eat an iPod."
Fuel and food prices have been defined out of the calculation of “core inflation” by the the Fed. Excluding food and fuel from the accounts means measuring demand in categories for which demand has shrunk because less disposable income is left over. By measuring only non-food and non-fuel prices, policymakers can make the argument that inflation is actually stable or going down.
That may convince the press, but it may not convince the public. Inflation is the one piece of news that the administration’s allies in the media cannot conceal. The daily news from the supermarket cash register speaks, and the gas station is more eloquent than anything that the New York Times can print.
You noticed higher prices on damn near everything lately? So have I. But Obama says we just need to buy a new car(ever see a President actually shill for a company in a speech before?) and they've rigged the reporting to try to minimize notice of the problem. Wonderful what you can do when the major media has their nose up your ass.
The DHS is involved in microstamping arguments? Especially bad since they don't seem to have a damned idea what they're talking about:
Only semi-automatic handguns can leave micro-stamps: Revolvers cannot because their bullets have no shell casings.
Thanks to Uncle for pointing to this display of ignorance.
Speaking of ignorance, and a general desire to run peoples lives, Orrin Hatch apparently has decided that all that terrorism and crime stuff is under control, so Holder needs to go after porn.
So the animal rights assholes are targeting college students; that's likely to backfire on them. Possibly literally.
I'm going to close this with a demonstration of idiocy and overreaction that's almost breathtaking, especially from Texas. No good way to excerpt from this.
*So far as the military working it out, they pretty much have to; 'ready for anything' and so forth. I'm wondering how much crap Obama is getting for it being openly spoken of?

A couple of tech things that came to mind
The other is my mother had her second eye surgery Tuesday to take care of cataracts. First one was last month: go to the doc, and about two hours later Dad drives her home; couple of followup checks and that's it. Not only are the cataracts out of the way, now she'll only need reading glasses.
Anybody who whines about modern technology can kiss my ass.
Oh HELL yes!
The Iron Dome missile defense system on Thursday successfully intercepted for the first time two rockets that were fired at the Israeli city of Ashkelon from the Gaza Strip.Iron Dome's success Thursday marks the first time in world history short-range rockets were ever intercepted.
So the Israelis have started deploying a close-in defense system to protect vehicles against RPGs and missiles, and now Iron Dome is in service... Makes you wonder if any of the Slammers have a six-pointed star on their blower, doesn't it?
Remember the name H-S Precision?
They either didn't learn anything from the reaction, or they're actually the kind of bastards you just don't want to buy from:
A couple months later, someone was dumb enough to give me media credentials for the 2009 NRA Convention. This made me obnoxiously full of myself, so I felt it appropriate to commit an act of journalism. I sought out the H-S Precision display at the convention, and tried to get some clarification on just what in the blue hades happened that they picked such a poorly thought out mascot, especially since he was the only endorsement in that particular catalog.
The H-S Precision representative, the man in charge of putting out a positive image of the company, told me red in the face with anger, that Vickie Weaver deserved to be shot simply because she was there.
I honestly wish I was making that up.
I doubt I'll be able to run out and pick up a new boomstick on April 15, but if I can it damn well will have nothing on it from this company.
Reference Obama's comments on gas prices
Hey, genius, if someone is having trouble buying gas how the HELL are they going to afford one of your new Government Motors cars? Especially at, what, 30-50 thousand?
Who the hell do you think you are to tell someone "Screw off and buy a new car"? You're not our boss, no matter what you think.
And who the hell are you to tell someone "Your family isn't big enough to need a big car, get a little one!" ? You know the family? You know how much stuff they need to take along?
The President is an arrogant dumbass, isn't he?
Friend, when I pointed to the Insty post, actually said "This is what peak oil looks like." Which is idiotic, ignores all the oil and gas we have that The Lightworker doesn't want us to drill for, and works quite conveniently for someone who seems to think that no Democrat can really do anything wrong and that somehow every disappointment from Obama is somehow the fault of Republicans and conservatives. And she's probably got a plan for those troublesome libertarians, too.
Speaking of Gurkhas and kicking ass,
As the 20-minute battle raged, Sgt Pun raced onto a wall to remove the .50 cal machine gun from its mount so he could lower it enough to aim at the attackers below.
Damn.
Added: just checked, overall weight of the M2 is almost 84 pounds, not counting ammo.

Number one, damn Obama and his clowns
Lower-income households are paying nearly a quarter of their income for energy costs. The 27 million lower-income households earning between $10,000 and $30,000, representing 23% of U.S. households, will allocate 23% of their 2011 after-tax income to energy, more than twice the national average of 11%.
...
Senior citizens living on fixed incomes are particularly vulnerable to energy price increases. Seniors have the highest per capita residential energy consumption among all age categories. The average basic Social Security income of 31.5 million senior households was $15,443 in 2009. The median income of 25.3 million households with a principal householder aged 65 or older was $31,354.
and what that arrogant bastard is saying
“Obama needled one questioner who asked about gas prices, now averaging close to $3.70 a gallon nationwide, and suggested that the gentleman consider getting rid of his gas-guzzling vehicle.”
High gas prices aren’t a bug, they’re a feature.
Number two, from that second link, damn AP for being a bunch of pretend reporters who're so far up Obama's ass they're living on his farts:
“Obama needled one questioner who asked about gas prices, now averaging close to $3.70 a gallon nationwide, and suggested that the gentleman consider getting rid of his gas-guzzling vehicle.”
I was confused when I clicked the link on your page and couldn’t find this quote. So I googled the quote. It shows up in all the google hits but when I click on those articles, it’s nowhere to be found. Looks like AP scrubbed it from all copies of the article! Nothing like a compliant media, eh? Hope you got a screenshot.
In fact, I did. And a good thing, because the story’s been almost completely rewritten. But the “memory hole” doesn’t work very well any more. Here, for the sake of history, is the story as it used to be. And if anyone from the Associated Press would like to email me to explain this change, I’m all ears.
Richard Goldstone is either so effing stupid

Among the reasons I think A: the UN can collectively
Self-defence is a widely recognized, yet legally proscribed, exception to the universal duty to respect the right to life of others. Self-defence is a basis for exemption from criminal responsibility that can be raised by any State agent or non-State actor. Self-defence is sometimes designated as a “right.” There is inadequate legal support for such an interpretation. Self-defence is more properly characterized as a means of protecting the right to life and, as such, a basis for avoiding responsibility for violating the rights of another.
That is how the bastards see the concept of self-defense: it only exists to them as a way for you to escape punishment for 'violating the rights' of someone who attacks you, or your family or home.
It also, as the article shows, is part of their basis for why all the commoners should be disarmed(for our own good, of course).
If G. Washington did come back for a while, I tend to think he'd burn the UN building down before worrying about excitement over the royal wedding across the Atlantic.
Remember that dealine BATFE blew off?
And an opinion on the fascination so many have with the latest royal wedding:
If George Washington knew you were Tweeting about the British royal wedding, he'd snatch the iPhone from your hand and kick your ass.

Having gotten that bit of bile out of my system
Various people have written a lot of things about what being a parent does to you*; among those things are kids who start off something like this
hit being more like this
and wind up something like this
In daughters case, starting with things like this
and going(somewhat more recently) to this:
That's her on the right. Over the years everything from "YEEEEEEE!" at either happiness or something gross to a phone call during the first deployment:"I no longer have a truck."
"What? It's in the drivew-"
"No, my truck here."
"Oh." Pause. "What happened to it?"
"It blew up."
Or, in daughter's case, the aforementioned screaming to "I got the house!" Definitely exciting, just less traumatic.
Which is all leading up to, after son headed to the new location, I missed Medieval Fair for the first time in about 30 years because
Just walking around talking to people and seeing performances isn't the same as being there working the forge and(more importantly)
Dad wanted to go to the Tulsa Arms Show; so we went.
Had a moment during the weekend of that two-sided vision: knowing that some of the things I feel about my kids now are the same one's he and Mom have been dealing with for a long time, just change the names.
In any case: the show was good(usually is). Crowded as hell Saturday, less so Sunday, everything from .22 single-shot rifles to .50 single-shots, ammo and drillings and double rifles to books and knives and general stuff. Good weekend, and I'm beat; all that walking around on concrete is a bit more wearing than the standing and walking on grass at the Fair all those years. And I get home and take a look at the interwebs and find
Idiot politicians excusing savages and murderers for not acting like civilized people,
" " talking about scrapping our freedom of speech so as not to offend the savages,
An idiot politician screwing our energy supplies and working to put us further in debt to others for energy**,
And, as kind of a capstone, reading this absolute flaming idiocy and abdication of personal responsibility in the name of handing lives over into the hands of a politician who's either an absolute incompetent or very competent at working to damage this nation(which my kids have to live in) because these people are either too brain-damaged, too stupid or too dedicated to their cause to say "Mr. President, what the HELL is wrong with you?"
I also find that the people involved in Gunwalker are the same ones who've screwed over the actual cops in the agency, over and over and over. And are now, along with their enablers(handlers?) at DOJ are telling Congress to go away and stop bothering them over a bunch of smuggled guns and dead Mexicans and a few dead Americans. And these bastards are screwing over the country my kids and yours are going to inherit IF it still exists as the United States of America.
More on the show later. Right now, having vented a certain amount of upset I need a shower and some sleep in my own bed.
*I'm reminded of some western in which a guy thinks one of his sons is dead, finds out he wasn't and belts him: "What was that for?!?" "That's for scaring me out of ten years growth, WHICH I CANNOT SPARE!"
**Ok, that one's a few days old, but it still pisses me off
Miss me? The first thing I have to say is
Sen. Lindsey Graham said Congress might need to explore the need to limit some forms of freedom of speech, in light of Tennessee pastor Terry Jones’ Quran burning, and how such actions result in enabling U.S. enemies.
Let's limit your speech about censoring us first, dumbass.
"I wish we could find a way to hold people accountable. Free speech is a great idea, but we're in a war," Graham told CBS' Bob Schieffer on “Face the Nation” Sunday.
“During World War II, we had limits on what you could do if it inspired the enemy," Graham said, adding certain speech can “put our troops at risk.”
Hey, Graham, in WWII we were worried about the Germans and Japanese finding out about troop movements and such, we weren't worried about hurting their poor little feelings by someone burning a copy of Mein Kampf or pissing on a statue of Hirohito; can you work up enough operating brain cells to recognize the difference?
You are seriously talking about trashing the 1st Amendment because things we say and do piss off the enemy? You are such a shit that you can't see you want to hand the enemy a victory? Howzabout this, Graham:
Fuck Mohammed, may bees piss upon him. I think I'll find one of those cartoons of the child-molesting psychotic and hang it in a urinal. And you know what? If some Deity-cursed beturbanned prophet monkey has a cow, strokes out and blows himself up? It's not because my speech needs to be restrained, it's because he's a uncivilized barbarian who has so little control of himself that someone thousands of miles away makes him wet his pants and lose control by saying some words, or by doing something with a freaking cartoon. You want to control what I say because these barbarians have no self-control? Can't stand the thought that everyone in the world won't bow down to what they want?
To those in the media who are suggesting, apparently in all seriousness, that Terry Jones caused the deaths of seven UN employees in Afghanistan by burning a copy of the Koran, I'll just note that the only way that argument works is by means of a suppressed premise. The premise is that the killers had no moral agency--in other words, that they were, literally, animals.
Me, I'll stick with "savages" and "barbarians."
At the bloody least.
And I wonder how the clowns like Reid and Graham in DC would speak if some Jew upset by another murder of living people in Israel blew up a mosque or shot a bunch of Hizbollah supporters? Or a Christian pissed off by a bunch of muslims burning a church or killing monks and priests did the same? You know exactly how they'd react: they'd apologize to ever muslim in the world and demand the offender be imprisoned for life; because they expect Jews and Christians and such people to act like civilized human beings, but they'll make excuses for radical muslims. Because that's the kind of PC bigots they are.

No wonder DHS is teaching cops to lie about evidence:
After a witness interview on March 4, 2011, a Department lawyer attempted to remove Committee documents from the interview room. DHS Attorney Reid Cox attempted to leave the room with the Committee’s exhibits in his bag. Committee staff asked Cox if he had the exhibits in his bag, and he confirmed that he did. Cox was admonished by Republican and Democratic staff that he was not permitted to leave with the exhibits. Democratic staff advised Cox that the exhibits are Committee documents and as such, they are the property of the Committee and cannot be removed without permission. Cox explained that the Department disagreed with that position and he moved toward the door. Republican staff advised Cox to leave the exhibits and contact the Committee to discuss the matter. Cox had a counter-proposal: “How about I take the exhibits, and you call me?” While Cox ultimately left the documents, any attempt to steal Committee documents is a serious matter. If the motive for stealing Committee documents is to use them to conduct a forensic investigation to identify a Committee source, it creates an extremely sensitive situation.
"I'm with DHS and I can do whatever I want." Like lie about 'evidence'? Like try to steal documents?
Maybe we should relable DHS as Doing Harm to Security. Especially considering the borders situation.

Every time I think about the mistraining of LE
And that's exactly what it is: training these officers to lie under oath and- they hope- get away with it.
The people doing this 'training' should be fired. And any officer who follows their advice should also be fired, and forever banned from ever again wearing a badge; they're dishonoring the one they have now.
Personal stuff to do the next few days
Hena Akhter's last words to her mother proclaimed her innocence. But it was too late to save the 14-year-old girl.
Her fellow villagers in Bangladesh's Shariatpur district had already passed harsh judgment on her. Guilty, they said, of having an affair with a married man. The imam from the local mosque ordered the fatwa, or religious ruling, and the punishment: 101 lashes delivered swiftly, deliberately in public.
Hena dropped after 70.
Bloodied and bruised, she was taken to hospital, where she died a week later.
She was raped. And the local authorities tried to cover up her death as a suicide. And her family is being protected because they're under threat for daring to speak about the imam and elders and this disgusting display of-
I don't have the right words to cover this shit. I really don't.
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon slammed Israel’s policy and called for the division of Jerusalem on Tuesday. In a message delivered by his assistant at a UN regional meeting in Uruguay, Ban said: “The target date for completing the Palestinian Authority’s two-year State-building program is fast-approaching.”
“The occupation that started in 1967 is morally and politically unsustainable, and must end,” he told the UN Latin American and Caribbean Meeting in Support of Israeli-Palestinian Peace.
The only words I can come up with are "Fuck you, you bastard. They took Jerusalem during a war started by people who want every Jew dead, and you want to hand half that city(now) and all the Israelis(later) over to the enemy? Fuck you twice you miserable little statist bastard."
Remember the Mexican Gun Lie?
Here’s a breaking story that’s only reported by Central American media and Fox.
The most fearsome weapons wielded by Mexico’s drug cartels enter the country from Central America, not the United States, according to U.S. diplomatic cables disseminated by WikiLeaks and published here Tuesday by La Jornada newspaper.Inventory includes grenades and rocket launchers, necessary items for beating the Mexican army.
This corroborates an LA Times report from early 2009, which catalogued “hand grenades, grenade launchers, armor-piercing munitions and antitank rockets…”
But Obama & Co. insist they're coming from the US. Yeah. Right.
More on Gunwalker:
Dodson's account: "The gun shops were more concerned than the ATF about the multiple sales because they knew that those who were buying weapons did not want them for their personal use. With this approach, the gun shops thought they were doing the right thing, they had no idea that we (the agents) were not intercepting the weapons. "
. . . .
However, agents of the ATF in Phoenix seized only a couple of arms shipments to Mexico. "The other weapons that ended in ATF's possession were seized by other agencies and they informed us," says Dodson."
A fine demonstration of liberal/leftist thought:
The secret presentation happened almost two weeks after the White House inexplicably postponed the ceremony, which was expected to be open to the press pool.
Got that? Here's the 'explanation':
“I don’t feel moved today to say ‘thank you, Mr. President,’” said Steve Aftergood, the director of the Project on Government Secrecy at the Federation of American Scientists. But he said he understands the award to be “aspirational,” in recognition of Obama’s potential to do more on the transparency front.
“And in that sense, one could say it resembles the award at the Nobel Peace Prize,” Aftergood said. “It’s not because Obama brought peace to anyone but because people hoped he would be a force for good in the world, and maybe that’s the way to understand this award.”
So; he hadn't actually done anything but because people HOPED for Hopey-Changey he got a Nobel Prize, and a President whose people are involved in 'transparency' like this and this and this gets a 'transparency' award because(Hoping that?) maybe he'll do more...

I've thought of buying a laptop a few times, but if I do Updated
The supervisor who spoke with me was not sure how this software ended up in the new laptop thus put me on hold. He confirmed that yes, Samsung did knowingly put this software on the laptop to, as he put it, "monitor the performance of the machine and to find out how it is being used." In other words, Samsung wanted to gather usage data without obtaining consent from laptop owners. While in the Sony BMG security incident described in the first article in this pair one had to buy and install the CD on one's computer, Samsung has gone one step further by actually preinstalling the monitoring software on its brand laptops. This is a déjà vu security incident with far reaching potential consequences. In the words of the of former FTC chairman Deborah Platt Majoras, "Installations of secret software that create security risks are intrusive and unlawful." (FTC, 2007).
Update: Now they're saying it was a case of security software misidentifying a file; question then is why the supervisor at Samsung said it WAS what the guy suspected?
Michelle Malkin has a post up on Gunwalker, with lots of links.
What was that from Obama about 'no American troops on the ground' again?
What kid of useless damned ass-kisser of dictators is Jimmy Carter? This kind.
Why so many police officers have such a sucky attitude?
And why would such 'training' be happening? Who'd want to do this?
During the past several years, I have witnessed a dramatic shift in the focus of law enforcement training. Law enforcement courses have moved away from a local community focus to a federally dominated model of complete social control. Most training I have attended over the past two years have been sponsored by Department of Homeland Security (DHS), namely the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
No matter what topic the training session concerns, every DHS sponsored course I have attended over the past few years never fails to branch off into warnings about potential domestic terrorists in the community. While this may sound like a valid officer and community safety issue, you may be disturbed to learn how our Federal government describes a typical domestic terrorist.
Go read the whole thing. Remember cases in the past where some ATF agent would find a piece of header pipe or exhaust pipe and charge the guy with making illegal silencers? Same thing, except your reloading or craft materials can be used to 'prove' you're a domestic terrorist.
Methods of developing evidence of terrorist activity from virtually any search have also been discussed. Various common materials which may be associated with homemade explosives are listed, such as lengths of pipe, gunpowder, matches, flammable liquids and fireworks. Officers are told when these items are found, they can be listed as “bomb making materials”. The training even goes so far as to instruct officers that the items are cleverly disguised as legitimate, such as gasoline stored near a lawn mower, pipes stored in a shop building or gunpowder stored with reloading materials.
Found over at Sipsey Street
Two things on the tsunami in Japan
Like a river in flood, the water just keeps coming.
Other thing I ran across is this:
A joint research team from Yokohama National University and University of Tokyo surveying the Ofunato city shoreline made the discovery.
They found fishing equipment scattered on the high cliff of the city’s Ryori Bay and have determined the tsunami reached as high as 29.6 meters.
About 100 feet high. Damn.

Why, Mr. Melson, did you chicken out?
Mr. Melson must have had the same thought because he has decided not to testify. Moreover, no one from either ATF or the Justice Department are on the new list of witnesses.
Isn't that a surprise?
Sharyl Attkisson of CBS News contacted the Subcommittee for more information on why Melson will not be testifying.
We contacted the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to ask why Melson is no longer scheduled to appear. They referred us to the office of Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) who chairs the subcommittee holding the hearing. A press spokeswoman at the senator's office said it was Melson's decision not to testify, and that the subcommittee doesn't have jurisdiction over ATF.It is also speculated that one of the main reasons for the delay in confirmation hearings for Andrew Traver is the fallout from Operation Fast and Furious.
Later, a spokesman told us in an email, "The Subcommittee had invited, but not confirmed, Mr. Melson as well as other officials from ATF to testify at the hearing this week. In the end, ATF declined to send a representative."
"You want me to get in front of these people and answer questions? You KNOW what they'll ask about!"
Gee, Rolling Stone slanted a story about troops?
The online edition of the Rolling Stone story contains a section with a video called “Motorcycle Kill,” which includes our Soldiers gunning down Taliban who were speeding on a motorcycle toward our guys. These Soldiers were also with 5/2 SBCT, far away from the “Kill Team” later accused of the murders. Rolling Stone commits a literary “crime” by deceptively entwining this normal combat video with the Kill Team story. The Taliban on the motorcycle were killed during an intense operation in the Arghandab near Kandahar City. People who have been to the Arghandab realize the extreme danger there. The Soviets got beaten horribly in the Arghandab, despite throwing everything including the Soviet kitchen sink into the battle that lasted over a month. Others fared little better. To my knowledge, 5/2 and supporting units were the first ever to take Arghandab, and these two dead Taliban were part of that process.
To Siim Kallas and the rest of the fascists at the EU:
Top of the EU's list to cut climate change emissions is a target of "zero" for the number of petrol and diesel-driven cars and lorries in the EU's future cities.
Siim Kallas, the EU transport commission, insisted that Brussels directives and new taxation of fuel would be used to force people out of their cars and onto "alternative" means of transport.
"That means no more conventionally fuelled cars in our city centres," he said. "Action will follow, legislation, real action to change behaviour."
Because the peasants won't simply tug their forelock and do what their betters tell them to, the EU lords will force them to.
Remember what has been pointed out many times, The power to tax is the power to destroy. I'll add and the power to enslave.
My response to the bishops
"We are concerned also that these immigration bills will have the intentional or unintentional effect of instilling fear in an alreayd vulnerable population," argued the two...and human rights are not commodoties to be allocated acording to nationality." ...pass legislation that creates a path to legal status for the undocumented workers to 'bring them out of the shadows where they are so easily preyed upon by human traffickers and other unscrupulous profiteers'.
Here's an idea, guys: Tell them not to come here illegally and they won't have to worry about the traffickers and other unscrupulous profiteers. Tell them not to break the law and they won't have to be fearful of the laws on illegal immigration. And tell the bastards, as I'm telling you, that we have no intention of rewarding them for breaking our laws by letting them jump ahead of people who came here LEGALLY and actually want to be citizens.
In case you missed it, they've actually talked to a bunch of the illegals and they don't WANT to become Americans; they want us to accommodate them in every way and would really like to invade large parts of the southwestern US and take it over for Mexico. So screw you, Archbishop and Bishop, and all your "We must be nice to them" crap.

One of the finest mornings and rides I ever had
If I hadn't had to be at work the next day I'd have fueled up every 120 or so and just kept going.
Gunwalker update: CBS is keeping after it
But who? In an exclusive interview with CBS News, the lead ATF official in Mexico at the time Darren Gil says somebody in the Justice Department did know about the case. Gil says his supervisor at ATF's Washington D.C. headquarters told him point-blank the operation was approved even higher than ATF Director Kenneth Melson.
"Is the director aware of this," Gil asked the supervisor. Gil says his supervisor answered "Yes, the director's aware of it. Not only is the director aware of it, D.O.J.'s aware of it... Department of Justice was aware of it."
Gil goes on to say senior Justice official Lanny Breuer and several of his deputies visited Mexico amid the controversy last summer, and spoke to ATF staff generally about a big trafficking case that they claimed was "getting good results." Gil says Melson, ATF's Acting Director, also visited Mexico City. Gil's Deputy Attache and his Analyst questioned Melson about the case that surrounding all the weapons showing up in Mexico. "His response was 'it's a good case, it's still going on,'" recalls Gil, "and we'll close it down as soon as we possibly can."
Now, can you imagine Holder NOT being aware of this? And if Holder was at least aware(if not giving orders or suggestions) Obama damn well knew.
"Well first of all I did not authorize it. Eric Holder the Attorney General did not authorize it. He's been very clear that our policy is to catch gun runners and put 'em into jail," Mr. Obama said of the controversial ATF operation called "Fast and Furious."
"You were not even informed about it?" asked Univision reporter Jorge Ramos.
"Absolutely not," said Mr. Obama. "There may be a situation here which a serious mistake was made and if that's the case then we'll find out and well hold somebody accountable."
Hmmm. Maybe the question isn't "Who" but "How many are going to be asked to go under that bus for Obama?"

Over at AM he's got a nice post about riding
I'm still getting used to the VFR in some ways. This is the hottest bike I've ever owned, and I still haven't been in a place where it'd be relatively safe(other traffic, etc.) to really push it. The VTEC doesn't kick in on this thing until about 6800 rpm; considering that- in sixth- the thing is only turning about 6k at 90mph...
About the third week I had it was coming down a ramp to I44 and punched it a bit, and it half-scared me: I'm not used to a bike that makes the front end that light at 70-75 when you upshift and hit it. I think I hit about 7500 that night, but I'm not sure as I was too busy watching the highway I was approaching at higher-than-expected speed and the aforementioned front end that- I think- came a bit off the road to look at the tach. Happily the thing handles very well, making that a exciting-scary vs. "I'm going to die" moment. About a week after that I stopped by the shop where I bought it to ask about bags and spent a while talking to the lady; mentioned the feeling and she said "Yeah, when you crank it it can be hard to keep the front end down on those", with an approving smile.
Realistically this bike has more power than I'll ever actually need, but I'd far rather have that than the alternative: ever been in a tight spot and not had the power to get the hell out of it fast? It sucks.
Oh, that 90mph? Got caught in some nasty(people changing lanes in too-tight spaces and such) traffic on I40 and decided to get clear and rolled on some throttle; when I was clear of it noticed- though it didn't feel that fast- the speed and tach. One of those "Y'know, if all these people'd get off my road..." moments.
You want to see someone very skilled and flat insane on a bike, go to YouTube and search 'ghostrider' and watch some of the video. Scary as hell.
So, is Calypso Louie actually mad at Obama
Remember the 'white supremacist racist gun nut' shooter scenario at the Iowa school? Got canceled. Because(of course!)
“During the last 24 hours, the Treynor school system has received threats to their employees and buildings due to the planned 'active shooter' exercise, " Pottawattamie County officials said in a written statement. “After consultation with the Treynor School District and the Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office, we have jointly decided to cancel the exercise due to these threats which we must consider viable.”
Ok, exactly what were the threats? Where's the actual investigation? WERE there any actual threats? Or is this a way of continuing the bullshit since they can't play out their scenario? Get this:
Kevin Elwood, superintendent of Treynor Community Schools, told FoxNews.com he started receiving complaints from all over the Midwest after the plan went out.
“I’m getting a few emails today saying, ‘Are you crazy? Are you really doing this in school?’” Elwood said Thursday.
Elwood said he was as surprised as anyone to see the scenario in the Exercise Plan.
“It hadn’t been discussed at any previous meetings leading up to this event or any of the planning sessions we’ve had," he said.
Really? Then whose idea was this bullshit, and why was it needed in the first place? Not an expert, so this is a real question: If you're going to train on a active-shooter scenario, why do you need a backstory? Every one of these things I've heard of you've got somebody killing people and you need to get in there fast and deal with the bad guys; only reason you'd need a backstory is if you were going to play hostage-takers as well, and that wasn't mentioned.
In a follow-up memo distributed Wednesday afternoon, Doug Reed, the lead exercise planner for the county’s Emergency Management Agency, said the scenario was only constructed for the purpose of securing Department of Homeland Security Grant funding, which requires the drill simulate a terrorism scenario.
“This scenario and supporting suspect profiles are only in the plan in order to define this FICTITIOUS INCIDENT as a domestic terrorism event and to provide simulated intelligence that responding law enforcement would want and/or eventually request during the event,” Reed wrote. “There will be NO role-playing of racist protests, slander or hate crimes during the actual exercise … the only thing being exercised is the RESPONSE to a shooting, we are not exercising events leading up to the shooting.”
So they had to make up this crap to get money from DHS? 'Simulate intelligence', etc.? Then why didn't the Superintendent know about it?
Why aren't we developing this? Because Obama & Co. want us in the hole, that's why:
...While the US is often depicted as having only a tiny minority of the world’s oil reserves at around 28 billion barrels (based on the somewhat misleading figure of ‘proven reserves’) according to the CRS in reality it has around 163 billion barrels. As Inhofe’s EPW press release comments, “That’s enough oil to maintain America’s current rates of production and replace imports from the Persian Gulf for more than 50 years”. Next up, there’s coal. The CRS report reveals America’s reserves of coal are unsurpassed, accounting for over 28 percent of the world’s coal... that’s a couple of centuries of coal use, at least.
...In 2009 the CRS upped its 2006 estimate of America’s enormous natural gas deposits by 25 percent to around 2,047 trillion cubic feet, a conservative figure given the expanding shale gas revolution. At current rates of use that’s enough for around 100 years... [and] methane hydrates [could] be enough to provide America’s natural gas for more than 400 years.”
You know what? Between Obama playing games in Libya and various liberal/socialist clowns playing games here, I just don't want to do this today. More later if I feel like it; I've got brass to process and other such fun activities.
Remember the anthrax attacks?
Maybe Ivins did do it; but not only can't they prove it, they don't know it. Not good.
It’s an unnerving scenario. But there’s something much scarier to contemplate. There’s still the possibility that the government was as wrong about Ivins as it was about Hatfill. If that’s the case, the anthrax mailer is still at large. And that means someone launched the deadliest biological attack in the history of the United States—and got away with it.
Funny description the unions and Democrats have of 'silencing' people
The Florida House delivered a major blow to public employee unions Friday, approving a bill that would ban automatic dues deduction from a government paycheck and require members to sign off on the use of their dues for political purposes.
And if the members are all happy to be there and have no problem with how the unions spend their dues, how is this a 'major blow' to them?
"It's about silencing the opposition. That's not democratic," said Rep. Richard Steinberg, D-Miami Beach. Etc. ad bullshit.
Sounds more like the unions and Democrats are scared to death of having to actually account to members for the money and what they do with it, and scared to death of having to actually ask the members to pay their dues; because if you actually have to write a check, if you don't like the service you can say "No".
First, did Biden know his staff was engaging in
Or, if he was 'free to leave', what the hell kind of sorry excuse for a reporter wouldn't have been raising hell about it on his own?
Of course, there's the 'if true' question, but if it's not what reporter wouldn't say so?
Second,
Yet in a stunning reversal, Judge Collyer last week revisited her decision and dismissed the case. In direct contravention to her prior ruling, the judge said the Medicare statute does — with a little creative reading — contain a requirement that Social Security recipients take government health care. The Medicare statute provides that only individuals who are “entitled” to Social Security are “entitled” to Medicare. Therefore, argues the judge, “The only way to avoid entitlement to Medicare Part A at age 65 is to forego the source of that entitlement, i.e., Social Security Retirement benefits.”
Gee, I wonder who got to the judge, and with what threats? This is bullshit, and one more "We control you" action by these bastards. "So what if you paid for this? You don't do what we tell you, we'll screw you out of it."
