Britain di...An exercise in "re-branding"<br /><br />Britain did that when it changed the name of its leaky, fire prone and generally disfunctional nuclear reprocessing plant from Windscale to Sellafield.<br /><br />Suddenly all of the old horror films were obsolete. Now Sellafield has the bad image too.<br /><br />A pal of mine worked for Nirex (the long term nuke waste disposal crowd), he said it was like a disfunctional university research dept, no work ever got done, observational results were altered to fit computer models and there was a track worn in the floor to the coffee machine. <br /><br />They still won't tell us why the nuke contamination blamed on Chernobyl was there at least a year before Chernobyl blew*.<br /><br /><br />I guess "climate disruption" research depts will be the same?<br /><br /><br /><br /><br />*<br />*<br />*<br /><br /><br />*The silage bales from the summer before were hotter than the chernobyl year'sKeithnoreply@blogger.com
