It's a model 13, once I got it freed up the barrel unscrews for transport, Parker Hale match sights.Firehandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04562365951182027709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8515829.post-1112205640191868072005-03-30T10:00:00.000-08:002005-03-30T10:00:00.000-08:00You have a BSA martini? Not an easy thing to find a new trigger for if you mess up. I nearly sweated blood setting up my jig and getting everything right.Firehandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04562365951182027709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8515829.post-1112153924077309262005-03-29T19:38:00.000-08:002005-03-29T19:38:00.000-08:00Oh, yeah. I've got a small flat hard Arkansas stone I use for some things, and a 1.5x2x.25" ceramic with a very fine grain that's good for polishing flats. And I now have a set of ceramic Spyderco stones, round/square/triangular/teardrop I found a while back that works pretty well, too. But nothing I know of will put the polish on like the ruby stones.Firehandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04562365951182027709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8515829.post-1112151117542204422005-03-29T18:51:00.000-08:002005-03-29T18:51:00.000-08:00Brilliant advice, for three reasons:1: if you're i...Brilliant advice, for three reasons:
1: if you're impatient you will almost ALWAYS do more harm than good, and potentially end up with a dangerous condition, and
2: you can end up costing yourself a LOT of money by damaging a tiny part (and if it's an old or unusual firearm, it might be an irreplaceable part) and
3: If you're really patient, and take care, you can turn a clunker into a silk smooth shooter. I have a selection of garnet and ruby stones that I often use a single stroke at a time, then fire a couple clips, then another stroke, then a couple clips, etc. Trigger work is incredibly rewarding and requires the patience of Job.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
