Well, it's a day and one of these nights,
so here we go again
But wait! There's MORE!!
Yes, doing it again.
This, as you're probably aware, involves naughty bits as well as semi.
So of your own free will, by your choice,
you know what to do
New information on .300 Blackout subsonics,
thanks to the people at Widener's on their blog. Including that new(fairly newer, to me at least) Federal 190-grain load, on all six loads, including gel at both 50 and 100 yards, and they tested them from a short 10.5" barrel and a 16" barrel.
Short version: the Federal Fusion did expand some at both distances, nice to know, about as much as the Hornady 190-grain Sub-X. The best expansion came with Gorilla(which I wasn't familiar with) and Lehigh(had heard of them before.
Good reading on the subject.

Well, it doesn't involved the wheel or the rack,
so they'll have real trouble getting admissions of anything, but at least the bastard will face questions.
From Paris
This is the translation they have at Insty:
Testimony from a friend of mine, a shopkeeper in Paris.
“My shop was looted on October 17. A motorcycle shop, right in the heart of Paris. Twenty-one years I’ve poured everything into it. I pay my taxes, I’m a family man,” and last night he called all his friends, including me. Tomorrow we’ll be about twenty of us inside the shop, doors locked.
If it comes down to a confrontation, we’ll face it. I won’t let myself get looted a second time. Enough with the complaints that lead nowhere, enough waiting for someone else to protect what I’ve built.
“Tomorrow, it won’t be the police watching over my store anymore. It’ll be us.”
When the State abandons protecting the property of hardworking citizens, all that’s left is this: friends who organize and refuse to take it lying down.
Call it a militia if that suits you. To us, it’s just not getting looted again.
May I bring in Robert Peel's Principles of Policing, #7:
To maintain at all times a relationship with the public that gives reality to the historic tradition that the police are the public and that the public are the police, the police being only members of the public who are paid to give full-time attention to duties which are incumbent on every citizen in the interests of community welfare and existence.
Which means if the cops won't/can't show up...

One thing that will always both amaze and frustrate me in handloading
is the magic combination you can find with some firearms, rifles in particular here. There's a load that, using Federal cases and match primers, at 200 yards groups terribly, and that's messing with powder and bullet seating length.
Then you use a Lake City case(military surplus), the same bullet, using a standard Fiocchi Large Rifle primer, that groups out of that rifle very nicely. But almost every other load, the Federal cases work quite well.
I will also note I tried some subsonic loads in .308 using the 190-grain Hornady Sub-X bullet and Titegroup powder, and some 169-grain match bullets I picked up a while ago from Midway(blemished bullet sale, can save some money), and based on past experience I dropped the powder charges by .2 grains on the first, .3 on the second, and both were still right at or a touch above speed of sound. I don't know if because the test barrels they use make a difference, or they'd rather have a "Let's make sure a bullet doesn't get stuck in their barrel" precaution. So next batch will be a bit lower yet.
But it was a fine day to be outside, and I'm glad I went.
It seems the French are stating an unpopular truth, and our left hates it
Remember Biden with that pissed-off "Antifa is not a group, it's just an idea!" noise?
Apparently he forgot to inform all the other people dealing with them.

Because this stupidity goes well with the people threatening Musk, here's someone's piece on that. I would suggest they consider what all has been dug up on the people threatening him, and just what he might bite them in the ass with if they truly attack him.
And, while we're talking about leftist, treacherous asshats, here's more on Slotkin's threats. And her pretending "They're attacking me because I'm a woman!"
And a bit more on her then vs. now.

Really, Ireland?
THIS CRAP is what you're 'taking action' on?
I take it that Irish women and girls being raped and harassed doesn't really bother you?
A fine piece about 'Why all the screaming about the Secretary of War'?
Besides the name change triggering their sensitive feelings.
You don't need a coup in the old sense. You just need enough men in uniform to decide that elected authority is optional. And that is why the position of Secretary of War matters so much. If Pete Hegseth is seen by communists as the man who won't let that break happen, then of course the pressure lands on him. You don't waste time pounding on a wall if there's one hinge holding the gate shut. You go after the hinge. Because if the Secretary of War is weak and the generals begin deciding for themselves which lawful presidential orders deserve obedience, then the republic has a problem far bigger than whoever is SECWAR. At that point, the uniform is no longer serving the Constitution through civilian command. It's becoming its own political authority. That's what every red revolution wants. That's how republics die from the inside. Not always with gunfire. Sometimes with memos, hesitation, professional pressure, and men convincing themselves that disobedience is virtue. History is full of governments that thought the military was loyal right up until the hour it wasn't. That's the lesson.

Part of what lets the French rioters get away with what they do
As Kevin from Smallest Minority said, what are you supposed to do?
Submit.
Just like the commie Mayor of NYeffingCity, and various other Mayors and Governors want, you're supposed to be helpless on your own and depend on the state to save you.
Finally, with her kind aid, their struggle was successful!
On October 7, those residents broke through the border and came to her home. They didn’t kidnap her. They just murdered her. It took a month to identify what remained of her.
Such an ironic end to Gaza’s greatest friend in Israel. Let this be a lesson to anyone who considers walking in her path: a scorpion cannot change his nature.
He has a followup to this when one of Silver's relatives threw a fit at him.
Yesterday I had the great fun of waiting for plumbers to show up and replace the water heater. So today has been a bit of looking at the news, and now needing to both clean and get outside and ride the bicycle. We'll see which I wind up doing.

IF they will.
Just like Silver was when the palesimians came over the border.
Vivian Silver was a Canadian-Israeli who dedicated her life to help Gaza and vilify Israel. She organized programs to help Gazan workers in Israel, drove them to Israeli hospitals, joined the anti-Israeli organization B’tselem and founded “Women Wage Peace.” As part of her work, she lead tours of the Israeli–Gaza border to raise awareness about the struggle of Gaza’s residents.

Damn, Ruger suspends production of several models
including some of their justly famous revolvers.
"Ruger announced changes to several current-generation product families yesterday as part of our ongoing Ruger 2030 strategy," said Abbey Clary, Ruger's director of media, advertising and public relations. "This does not necessarily mean these product families are permanently discontinued."
Well, we'll see what happens.

Slotkin: "I'm being punished for my words
because I'm a woman!"
No, because you're a bigoted fascist bitch who apparently actually wants a civil war in this country.

There, nice & simple.

Let's see, on this busy morning,
France is either burning or about to completely erupt. It may have started with some actual protests over school conditions, but the agitators and the muslim activists jumped right in, and it's gone to hell. With, among the usual arsons and assaults,
A French journalist [Paul Amar] reports that rioters in Marseille burned and vandalized Jewish-owned businesses while leaving Muslim-owned shops on the same street untouched, suggesting the attacks were planned in advance… Against the backdrop of historic riots and disturbances that swept France over Shabbos, journalist Paul Amar shed light on a CNews broadcast on the extent of advance organization among the rioters
Doesn't sound like education funding protests, does it?

And have our news networks had much to say about this?
Meanwhile, here in the US, the same people/connected groups are planning on doing the same here.

Think the 'news' services will say much about this?
Oh, now the rioting 'students' are threatening to burn Notre Dame if a terrorist isn't released from prison. Aren't they such caring people?
And I've got crap to try and do, so that's probably it for today

I would say that the proper introduction for her in the future should be 'Nazis and Fascists and Slotkin,
oh my."
And if- hell, when- she hates it and throws fits, tell her to stop ACTING like those groups, and we won't have to call her on it.

If you have to be in DC for some reason, remember:
the DC cops are not your friends.
Lady, that worked as well as shopowners putting "I support BLM" signs to try to turn the rioters away, didn't it?
Various Arab countries have been warning the Europeans- and us- about 'You think you know these people and islam? You're an idiot.'
“A flying car is what men do when they are free. A wealth tax is what politicians do to the men who built it. One of them needs the other to survive, and it isn't Musk.”

The whole quote is there, with proper comments on thieves and slimeballs like Sen. Sanders, who neither reap nor sow, they just take.
El-Sayed's good friend Piker, who thinks as much of black people as he does of this country overall, which is very little. I wonder if the 'news' in that state has had anything on this? Or too busy kissing El-Sayed's ass?

It being Saturday, one of the days I try to do this,
some stuff will be disposed of for your entertainment
