About a year ago a guy blew up a bolt-actionsingle-shot .50 with some old ammo,

SLAP rounds to be specific.  Serbu sent him another rifle to test, and this time he does it deliberately.  The leftover SLAP was obviously bad, but it took a special round to blow it up.

    I actually learned of this earlier this week myself.... by watching a Korean reaction channel using the original "I blew it up" video as their reaction fodder.

    I would have really been interested to see the rounds each weighed before they were chambered. Just for some pre shot data.

    Correct. I'd thought it was a bolt until saw this video, I think the original story I read called it a single-shot and I assumed bolt. And the only video I'd seen was of the kaboom itself.
