Saturday night, hot & humid as yesterday,

and a busy day at work.  More on that another time.  For now, time to relax and deal with the new information dump

"Racism is good when I do it, you crackers!"

So she's both a crap 'historian' and a racist asshat.  Working at the NYeffingTimes
Well, with Sarah Jeong(at the least) she's got company.

"Yes, but he's not a real author" is a kind of bs

that others besides Larry Correia have had to deal with.
The League of Frightened Men, Chamberlain pronounced in his review is a mystery story that has imaginative qualities beyond the ordinary....The writing...is good-humored, breezy, colloquial. The characterization is sharp, and reminds me constantly of the fact that Rex Stout was a legitimate novelist before he took up the trade of mystery monger.
I think Correia's response to this kind of crap has been "Oh, that's terrible!  I'll have to console myself with my hot wife and myself sleeping on our mattress stuffed with money!"

If you haven't read any of the Nero Wolfe novels, and you like mysteries at all, you should give them a try.

I'll take "Politicians and Black-Robed Idiots who need to be decorating trees"

for a thousand, Alex.
...That bill includes a clause written by Martha Walters, the chief justice of Oregon’s Supreme Court, at the request of Brown. This clause will allow Walters to suspend due process for up to sixty days if she deems it necessary during the response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fuck the both of you assholes, with an old, splintery shovel handle.  Your 'order' doesn't supersede the Constitution no matter how much you want that power.  And the fact that said idiot in a black robe thinks she can is reason enough for said idiot to decorate a tree or lamppost.  And the other idiot, who sits in the Governor's office, should be right next to her.

"No matter what you're working on, or

how you prepared, there WILL be something that didn't get prepped.  Or something catches your attention that HAS to be done now, which means-"
That's me trying to get a couple of things done the past while.  Dammit.

So here's some stuff to pretend to be blogging

Interesting take on the Floyd death Update

and how the murder charge is nowhere near a slam-dunk.  May indeed be an overcharge that's going to cause big problems.
