"Yes, yes, you need this for pain, but

some people abuse it, so NOBODY should have it."

Which means people who actually need it will suffer, but the nannies will feel very virtuous about themselves, and that's what really counts.

Makes you wonder if the control freaks demanding this have ever been in actual physical pain of high degree.

I have been complaining about this for a long time. I am on disability for chronic near daily migraines. I can only relieve them with narcotic pain medication. Because of the drug addicts, I am only able to get 15 Norco pills per month, which I have to horde so I can try to make them last a whole month. And I have to drive all the way out to my doctor's office to pick up a paper written rx and take it to my pharmacy to have it filled. Every single month, since it can not have any refills on it, because the DEA made it a schedule 2 drug. That is crazy. I tried medical marijuana, which didn't work for me. And I had never in my life used an illegal drug. I was an athlete in high school, never did that shit. When it didn't work, I quit trying it, after about 2 or 3 months. But the license was for 2 years here in MI, so the feds would have said that I was still an illegal user of weed if I had the card. I was not, and had no problem saying I was not, on a form 4473. No wonder the Libertarians want to legalize all drugs. The feds have not got a clue how to regulate them, and the drug war is a failure.

Lady I've worked with has serious back trouble, and her last runaround was due to "We need to have a paper prescription" and the fact that- unless you know to specifically ask- her doc(like a lot of others anymore)doesn't use paper, it's all electronic...
