It's neat to read about, but

I don't really care, either.

Lots of stuff has been written about this, my version was said to Michael a few years ago:
"It's very nice that the Rangers or Force Recon and such use whatever-it-is; problem is, I'm not an operator.  Never have been, never will be.  What I'm worried about is someone breaking into the house, someone wanting to rob me in a parking lot or garage, or a robbery going bad in a restaurant or something.  That doesn't leave a lot of need for "But the 'X' use it!" to be a big selling point."

If I had a million bucks(after taxes) in the bank, then I'd be a lot more willing to buy toys for that reason, but I don't.  So it's nice to read about the neat stuff they have, but that doesn't mean I'm going to spring for it.

For a while, the whole damned Army used the Beretta. I couldn't stand the damned thing. Just because multiple thousands of people are issued something doesn't mean that I have to use it.

What Pawpaw said. And just because thousands of people use something doesn't mean it's good. "A thousand uninformed opinions count as one."
