Data

Time to get to work and review the findings

Obama loves the troops, IF

he thinks he can use them to push his crap.

And what the Mayor of London doesn't understand is that Obama would freaking LOVE to dump the sovereignty of the US; he doesn't like this country and wants the UN running the world.

And he despises Britain, so on top of his socialist crap, he sees this as a way of damaging you, so it's a twofer to try to keep you under the EUnuchs.

Socialism!
Or is it just they they're not doing it right, either?

WWII training film on German weapons.

"Bush Lied!", etc.

And I still want him to tell us why this stuff wasn't officially reported to us at the time.
The CIA was even able to buy 400 Borak rockets filled with pure Sarin gas.  And on top of that, our troops found 5,000 WMDs that the Pentagon kept secret until last year.

The CIA is still not talking about buying WMDs in Iraq in 2005 and 2006.  They do acknowledge the number and the fact that the gas was extremely active, even though it had some age on it.  They refuse to discuss specifics.
...
That led to more discoveries including one cache of 2600 rockets armed with chemical weapons.  At the time, Jarrod Lampier, a now retired Army major said that he was ordered to make a statement downplaying the find:
“’Nothing of significance’ is what I was ordered to say.”

...

The Times found 17 servicemen and 7 Iraqi policemen who were injured by these weapons and it was discovered that American soldiers found it difficult to impossible to get treatment for injuries not recognized by the Pentagon.

In 2008 MSNBC reports the US removed 550 metric tons of yellowcake (Used to make nuclear weapons) from Iraq.  This is the same yellowcake Joe Wilson, husband of Valerie Plame said Saddam never tried to get.
The piece ends with
George W Bush accepted the lies and criticisms against him because he felt it might be harmful to the morale of our troops and could hurt our intelligence community if the details got out.
Yeah, because it's not harmful to morale to have the media and lefties screaming about the President lying us into a war because 'there are no WMDs!', and that the intelligence community is either lying or incompetent.

Coughing and choking gives good reason to be inside on a nice night,

checking data instead of being outdoors.

Among the reasons why, if your senator caves to the Democrats on the Supremes,

you need to remove him from the office(out a high window would be good, but voted out at the first opportunity will do) as soon as possible, is this:
Chelsea Clinton said Thursday at an event in Maryland that there is now an opportunity for gun control legislation to pass the Supreme Court since Justice Antonin Scalia passed away.

“It matters to me that my mom also recognizes the role the Supreme Court has when it comes to gun control. With Justice Scalia on the bench, one of the few areas where the Court actually had an inconsistent record relates to gun control,” Clinton said.

“Sometimes the Court upheld local and state gun control measures as being compliant with the Second Amendment and sometimes the Court struck them down.”
Clinton then touted her mother’s record on gun control issues and knowledge that the Supreme Court has an effect on whether many gun control laws stand.
The hell nobody wants to take your guns.

I will be very glad to run out of these primers,

and I'll never buy the damn things again.  Specifically Tula.

Back during the drought, I ran across a case(5000) of their small pistol primers and grabbed it.  I was low, they were the first I'd seen in a while, so worth it, right?

Sort of.  Out of every 100 I've had about two that will not fire.  At all.  And usually a couple that'll fire on a second or third strike.  And twice now a real problem: a primer fires just enough to push the bullet out of the case and into the throat, but not enough to fire the powder.  Which means you need a rod to push the bullet out before you can shoot again.

Possibly the powder?  Nope.  Very sure of this because the absolute WORST primers I've ever bought were some Tulsa small rifle.  Again, due to the drought and thank God I didn't get but 500.  The failure I mention above happened multiple times with those, and propellant from the same bottle loaded with CCI primers fired every time.  I got rid of the damn things.  The small pistol were relegated to 'non-critical uses only', there being too many left to just toss them.  So I'll keep using them, and make sure whenever I'm shooting ammo loaded with them I have a rod long enough to deal with this on the rare occasion this happens.

In contrast, of the I-have-no-idea-how-many thousands of CCI and Winchester and Federal primers I've used over the years, I've had ONE that failed to fire, that about a  year ago(probably due to pushed-to-the-limit production).

Since when has the Democrat Party had a problem

with handcuffing LE?
Oh yeah, when they think they can use that argument to make Republicans do what they want.  Such bullshit.

I hadn't heard of the Jefferson Muzzle award before.

What politicians are actually scared of is the voters who don't want their 2nd Amendment rights trashed, but if she mentioned that it would ruin her whole 'Evil NRA' line.

I thought the coughing was winding down.  Till I started doing it again while typing all this.  I think I need to find something to tone this crap down.

"He actually used our contact information?

And let other people know it?  DOXXING!! THREATS!!"  Etc. ad Bullshit.

And yes, leftists are losing their crap over a black woman on the $20.

Why Rabbi, why are you being such a shit?
It's all stealing, and the kids loved it and they told the guy – I got an email from them the next day saying the school's on fire.  That's all they're talking about.  We have a speaker every week.  You're the best speaker we ever had -- duh -- and they want you to come and do a day, and then he said parenthetically, "We record all of these things, but the Rabbi has deleted your video."  "He did what, now?"  "He deleted your video because you made an off-color remark about the school."  "What remark about the school?"  "The business about somebody here calling you Hitler."  "Well, he did call me Hitler.  Why would I invent that?"  He used that as justification to erase the video.  He didn't sequester the video.  He didn't put the video on hold and not drop it and release it until they found out the truth of it.  He deleted the video and he deleted the video because I was effective and I had an impact on those kids. And if we take this kind of message to the American people, we will make more Republicans.  We just have to have the brains to do it.

I'm sure someone will tell us the real reason is because they're greedy

and hate their employees.
An Albany area fish fry restaurant is closing its doors after nearly 70 years in business, and the owner is pointing to New York’s $15 minimum wage as a major reason for his establishment’s downfall.
...
Responding to fan’s of the beloved restaurant, the owners posted their reason for having to shut down Bob and Ron’s.
“To be honest there is no way we could pay the high minimum wage that is coming,” they wrote.
Ok, Gov. Howler, that's how many jobs?  How much in taxes the state won't get?

Riley Siva needs to be told to check his privilege;

he thinks he's entitled to vandalize property under the heading of 'improving the community', how much more privileged can he believe he is?
...Siva told police he considered the Trump sticker on the bumper of a Ford Focus in Gig Harbor a hate symbol, and he was “improving the community” by slashing the car’s tires and pouring yogurt into the sunroof, causing an estimated $5,000 in damage.
Hope the owner sues him for full damages, and annoyance, and anything else that can be tacked on.

Yes, Sanders is a damned liar.  And a hypocrite.  He's a socialist, you expect better of him?

Of course, there is also the factor that he's apparently dumb as the proverbial bag of hammers; we have to consider that he may be actually flat-out stupid.

We are in deep shit when the balloon goes up, and people like Brig. General Christopher Short are a big reason why.
He said he does not know why the number of applicants is shrinking.
“If you have insights on why we are not getting the number of traditional applicants, I’d love to hear,” he said. “The challenge cuts across many [aircraft types] on the team, so I think it is a reflection of a slightly tired force — but there may be other factors I’m missing. I would really appreciate your help.” Wow. Read that again. He is insulting the talent that is offered his way as a way to ham-handedly cover the openly discriminatory policy direction he is going.

And he wonders why few people would want to be on his team?
God help the Air Force, and us.

Another suggestion for the $20

And from Tam:
Apparently the Nazi Anime Fan wing of the internet has its jimmies thoroughly rustled by the fact that the genocidal founder of the Democrat party has been replaced on the Twenty by a gun-toting African-American Republican woman. And the Pinko Identity Politics wing of the internet doesn't even realize that's what just happened.

This is like sipping a martini made out of hippie and Nazi tears, shaken AND stirred.

Speaking of enraging the leftists, Midway has a '$20 off your $150 order' the next few days

Guarantee they never thought of it this way

I have some hope that if the sun comes out

it might help get over this cough.  Hopefully.  I'd planned/hoped to hit the range today, but I doubt powder smoke and the damp out there would be good for this.

The example of feminist bullshit for this morning:
DOES SHE HAVE INDEPENDENT VERIFICATION FOR THIS CLAIM? Michelle Obama: I’ve Been Victimized By Sexism – Men Used To Whistle At Me! (For extra frosting on the idiocy cake note she said this in ARGENTINA. The lack of understanding of Latin cultures this betrays might actually form a black hole* that sucks our entire universe into it. You have been warned.)

'Higher' Education:
Note that he needs help with the paper because if he doesn’t pass his gender studies class he won’t graduate. How could that be, you ask? Turns out, the College of Letters and Sciences at UCLA has, along with its other requirements like writing and a foreign language, a “diversity requirement,” which is “intended to help students better understand the perspectives of others whose histories, experiences, cultures, and social conditions may differ from their own.”

The list of faculty-approved classes that satisfy this requirement include the usual suspects like “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Studies,” the “Gender Studies” course that’s giving our Bel Air man so much trouble, and feel-good favorites like “World Arts and Cultures.” But the list also includes classes like “Disability Studies,” “Labor and Workplace Studies,” “Urban Planning,” and “Ethnomusicology.” At least one class from the list, remember, is required for graduation.

Working at the Veterans Administration apparently means 'Nothing keeps you from getting a paycheck.'(unless you're a whistleblower, then you're screwed).
“Why in the world would someone who has been convicted of armed robbery still be working at Veterans Affairs?” Miller asked.

“Okay. Well, hard for me to answer that right now, so, I think we owe you an answer,” Shulkin replied, apparently stunned.

Also on Tuesday, Shulkin told the committee that a chief of staff who had improperly prescribed controlled substances as favors to friends had been “removed from that role.” But when pressed, he conceded that she was still working at the VA and was now in charge of quality control.
'Apparently stunned' means either he's incompetent, or he's another lying bastard stunned that he got caught.

And the answer is "She's in a union, so she can get away with anything and keep the job, no matter what."

And that's about all the anything I can do for now

when the Revolutionary War really began

Another fake hate crime?

How many times do they turn out to be real nowadays?

Dumbass really picked the wrong place for two reasons: first, anybody believe that one of the bakers at Whole Paycheck would do this?  And second, which he couldn't have known, he REALLY had the wrong baker to try to pull this on.

Here's a campus 'rape' case that ought to cost the place both ears and their ass(hell with the tail).  Utter bullshit.  And the dirtbags who reported the 'crime' deserve to lose their butts, too.

From the last few paragraphs, it's not students who like firearms

that he needs to worry about the stability of.
It’s so complicated. On one side are all of my ideas about supporting students, honoring their individuality and their journeys, creating a safe space for them (and myself), not taking things out of context, not overinterpreting. On the other side are my memories of growing up in a situation where guns, people, and bullets had to be rigorously kept apart, lest they find each other in a tragic moment of instability.

She seems to be a good kid, Sarah. And I don’t know what she really thinks of gun advocacy and political failures that have cost us all these lives and our sense of safety as educators. I don’t know what she does on the weekends. I also don’t know if she understands emotions, or what real rage feels like. It seems to me no person who has truly experienced the full impact of their own emotions would ever go near a gun.
'Safe spaces' and projection of instability; see what I mean?

Certainly my predicament raises the whole issue of what letters of recommendation mean. But this whole thing just feels so, so … so much like creeping up the attic stairs, unzipping the padded case and running my fingers over the tendrilled grooves etched into the barrel of that old Browning shotgun. Peering down the chamber, I didn’t know how to say it then, but tools for killing will always be sacred.
I repeat: Professor, it's not your students who support the 2nd that you need to worry about the stability of.

You don't have the integrity to write a recommendation based on her known skills and abilities, and you don't have the balls to tell her "No, I won't, because you like guns and that scares me."  Wonderful.

Under the heading "Things that do not inspire confidence",

But, and there is no putting it nicely, deliberate fraud is far more widespread than the scientific establishment is generally willing to admit. One way we know that there’s a great deal of fraud occurring is that if you phrase your question the right way, scientists will confess to it.
And people who yell about this tend to be classes- especially by the people caught and their associates- as 'anti-intellectual'.  Because it's a lot easier to do that than to actually clean things up.

Yes, communists lie.  And cover up.  Because 'For The Party' trumps all.

Historical statement: "Awright, ye bloody Eyeties, bugger off before we get pissed!"  However you say that in Pictish and Gaelic.

I shall now be off, to attend to the headache being caused by the bloody cough that randomly pops up and seems to be trying to change the location of my lungs to external.

"Only police are well-trained enough", etc.

WASHINGTON – An officer in the Metropolitan Police Department's first district “dry-fired” an unloaded weapon at the head of another officer during a roll-call meeting on Saturday afternoon, possibly under orders from a sergeant as part of a training exercise, four MPD sources tell WUSA9.
Idiots.

Why Obamacare Is Failing at "Universal Coverage"
Because it's a badly-designed piece of crap more aimed at grabbing power over people than anything else?

So if Sanders realized any of this, he'd hate Sweden instead of saying we should be like it.

Oh joy, Fecesbook has effed-up again.  Morons.
Yeah, I know it doesn't affect everyone(generally), it's still a pain.

Hey, I thought socialists and communists weren't supposed to care about private property and such...

An online merchant has accused the Bernie Sanders campaign of “trademark bullying” after a Bernie 2016, Inc. attorney sent him a cease and desist letter regarding T-shirts, mugs, and sweatshirts depicting the candidate with historic communist leaders.

Claire Hawkins, a lawyer with Garvey, Schubert, Barer — which said it is “the official organization” of the campaign — sent the letter to Daniel McCall, demanding his company, Liberty Maniacs, stop selling the items.
Gee, I wonder why...
Maybe he doesn't like the truth being put out this way?

That should leave a mark

New shotgun slug design, machined from copper.  Very interesting, and very spendy.

Tam had something on this dry-fire practice setup not long ago.  At $350 it's not inexpensive, but man, that would be wonderful for practice at home.

If you've though about the matter of literally burying a gun, here's some help.  A guy found the story I've mentioned once before: guy buried a Mini-14 for 15 years.  Still works fine.

People who actually lived under communism don't feel the Bern;

they wonder what the hell's wrong with Sanders little minions.
According to preliminary data from a survey being conducted by Sam Kliger, director of Russian-Jewish Community Affairs at the American Jewish Committee, between 60 and 70 percent of Russian-speaking Jews will vote Republican in this election. About that same percentage of American Jews backed Barack Obama in 2012.

“They have experienced socialism and communism in a totalitarian regime,” Kliger said. “Anything that remotely resembles that, they hate it, they despise it.”
...
Those brushes with communism’s downsides prompted Menaker and many of her friends to embrace capitalism with a rabid intensity. “Socialism is a conspiracy of losers against achievers,” Menaker said. “America is the only country where you can come naked with no language and make it in 25 years.”
...
I suggested to Menaker’s guests that even the most extreme of Sanders’ proposals—to make America resemble a Scandinavian country—is not quite as radical workers rising up to seize the means of production.

The Russians didn’t buy it. There’s no need for America to become more like Finland or France, they said. “They think Finland is just America with free medical care. Finland is good for people who are on welfare for a long time,” Nadia Shkolnikov said. “Not if you want to rise up.”

The families of 9/11 victims in the US are reportedly infuriated at the administration of President Barack Obama for 'siding with Saudi Arabia' over a congressional bill that could incriminate Saudi officials for the deadly attacks on September 11, 2001 in America.

The families of victims are making a renewed push to declassify 28 pages of a 838-page congressional report on the worst terror attack on American soil, which points the blame towards Saudi Arabia.
Of course he does.  This is the idiot who bowed to the king of Saudi and has otherwise kissed their ass; he cares more about enemy combatants than he does US troops, so him preferring to make the Saudis happy is no surprise.

No, getting rid of fat and meat will not save your health, and some of the prescribed ways of 'healthy' eating may kill you.

If you need any of their bullets,

X-Treme has free shipping today.

Yes, it was actually the past couple of days, but I forgot to post it before.

Another illustration of "The 1st Amendment: why we say 'Screw you' to anyone

who wants to change it for reasons of PC or 'sensitivity'.
The German government has approved a criminal inquiry into a comic who mocked the Turkish president, Chancellor Angela Merkel announced.

By law, the government must approve any use of an article of the criminal code on insulting foreign leaders.

Mrs Merkel stressed that the courts would have the final word.
Here I can stand in public and say something like "Wonder if Merkel's old Official Soviet Minion Armband still fits?" and someone might think it in bad taste, but I can damn well say it.  Without the 1st, I might wind up in the dock for 'insulting a foreign dictator-wannabeleader.'
"In a country under the rule of law, it is not up to the government to decide," Merkel said. "Prosecutors and courts should weight personal rights against the freedom of press and art."
Bog off, tosser. A free society does not threaten a guy with years in gaol for writing a poem. If you don't know that that's wrong, you should just cut to the chase and appoint yourself mutasarrıfa of Erdogan's neo-Ottoman sanjak of Berlin.

And don't forget one of the aims of idiocy like this:
Some of these people were genuine innocents who've never been caught up in a time-consuming seven-figure legal battle before. But many others were making the argument cynically. They know that, if you can tie up a book or a magazine article in court, then there will be fewer books and magazine articles. As I wrote in my introduction to Geert Wilders' memoir, Marked For Death:
After I saw off the Islamic enforcers in my own country, their frontman crowed to The Canadian Arab News that, even though the Canadian Islamic Congress had struck out in three different jurisdictions in their attempt to criminalize my writing about Islam, the lawsuits had cost my magazine (he boasted) two million bucks, and thereby "attained our strategic objective — to increase the cost of publishing anti-Islamic material."

Some of the EUnuchs are more open about it: "We cannot let the peasants decide

matters that their betters have already decided upon.  They might not vote the way we want them to."

And- surprise!- this is from the Watermelons.
Showing how much she values direct democracy, Ms. Harms used the shock of the recent rejection of the EU-Ukrainian agreement by the Netherlands to make the case for limiting the use of referendums in future warning that they could “endanger the existence of the EU”, reports Austria’s largest newspaper Kronen Zeitung.

According to German newspaper Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger, the list of subjects which others have deemed “not suitable” for referendums include the controversial but yet-to-be-finalised Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) agreement with the U.S., the principle of open borders within the EU, and the future of the euro currency.
Nice people, aren't they?  And showing their roots.

Even worse, the left wing German newspaper Junge Welt reports that Ms. Harms claimed it is unacceptable for a mob of people to be able to reject an agreement that was “supported by all governments of Member States and their parliaments.”

The vote in the Netherlands has been seen as a sign of a general EU-weariness. As such it is feared that the decision may set a precedent and give British eurosceptics a valuable tailwind before the UK’s In/Out referendum in June.
"We cannot allow the commoners to vote on matters their mas- er, better- the Right People have already decided upon!  They'll wind up thinking they have some actual say in the EU and their own lives!"

Well, from the way it's raining I'm figuring the outdoor range

will be out for most of the week.  Maybe all, since I have no waders for getting to and from the target lines.  So dry-fire it is.  Maybe the indoor range in a day or two.

I've tried to be good on the dry-fire the past while, and I can tell the difference from when I don't.  It also helps work and stretch the shoulder, which has healed up nicely from surgery, but still needs some work, primarily on some motions and some uses of the arm; so dry-fire helps both that and my shooting.

There's one muscle in the upper arm, below the shoulder, that still tells me it's not happy at times about matters, especially shooting a pistol one-handed.  I'd mentioned it to the PT when was still seeing her, being worried that it was something indicating damage; no, it's commonly affected by the surgery and needs exercise and stretching.

Couple of folks have commented on this, and I'm going to reinforce it: you have surgery on a joint, do NOT sluff off on the exercises, and if at all possible see the therapist regularly; if you don't work it it will not return to former usefulness.  Especially at first it can hurt some, and it's definitely not comfortable, but put up with it; it's worth it in the long run.
