or is a damned liar.
The procedures Quattrone referred to involved a suggestion from a
coworker in an email chain that employees save subpoenaed documents.
Comey said that this email “resulted in the destruction of numerous documents.”
Quattrone never faced jail time and the charges were eventually dropped.
Quattrone’s tweet comes after Comey’s announcement
that while Clinton’s use of a private email server was “careless” and
contained Top Secret information, “no reasonable prosecutor” would bring
charges against her.
Comey argued that based on “the strength of the evidence, especially
regarding intent… and how similar situations have been handled in the
past,” “no reasonable prosecutor” would even consider bringing a case
like Clinton’s to court.
Only, that isn’t exactly accurate.
Less than one year ago, Assistant US attorneys Jean M. Hobler and Lee S.
Bickley successfully prosecuted Naval Reservist Brian Nishimura in a
strikingly similar case.
Of course, his name isn't 'Clinton', and he's not rich and connected. Which apparently makes a big difference.
The line someone used was "I'd rather have a sister in a whorehouse than a brother in the FBI." At this point it'd be 'a sister and Mom'.
