And the Saturday data has arrived,

and will require serious scrutinizing

Well, Judge, personally I think that being throw in a cell

for lying to you just might get the attention of these clowns.  Start working your way up the ladder, and it just might work wonders.

So, the head of the Army is more worried about the recruiters than he is terrorists; isn't that confidence-inspiring?

And the Marines...
On Friday evening ABC News Pentagon reporter Luis Martinez reported on Twitter the Marine Corps ordered recruiters to not wear their uniforms at work.
Damn.

Oh, I know some people this is going to piss off; it really screws with The Approved Narrative.
But the media people were especially stunned when they learned that Andrew Duncomb, a black man who calls himself “the Black Rebel,” organized the rally himself in an attempt to celebrate his proud Southern heritage.

“We don’t believe it’s a symbol of racism,” Duncomb explained to a local reporter.
“They’re blaming the racist problems on the flag and not on the real problems of America. Through the race lies the people who carry and harbor the hate inside.”

As Obama and his crew made their way to the hotel, trucks with Confederate flags mounted in the back, along with black and white people holding and proudly waving the flags, greeted the president and did their best to demonstrate that the flag doesn’t inspire violence or racism like many on the left would like Americans to believe.

“Again, look at these people, they all followed the black guy out here. Do you think that any of them are racists?” Duncomb said.

Would someone please tell Carrey to either pull his head out of his ass, or shove it all the way up and stop breathing?

There are some freaking insane people out there

"See! We need MORE laws!

Because if we make MORE gun laws, the terrorists will obey THOSE!"  Or something.

And yes, the CSGV and others are whining that.  Because if you pass the right law, surely the terrorist planning mass-murder will obey THAT one...

Mentioned this before, will hit it again: If some big-money bundler connected to the Stupid Party was dealing with child rape charges, it'd be HUGE news; but he's a Democrat and connected to Obama, so it's not.

Don't know about where you are, but it's hot here.

And humid.  Very bad to work in, just fine for indoor study of new information

"Well, no, those laws don't actually work, BUT

the idea can't be wrong, so we have to do it again, only HARDER!"

Yes, stole the line from Kevin.  Fits exactly.

Modern journalism at work:
"There's GOT to be some way to tie this terrorist to those small-town tea-party hicks!"

So the French government doesn't want to say 'muslim terrorists' any more than Obama does.

Send this to a warmenist, along with some really annoying laughter.
After September of this year, the Earth will be entering its 21st year without statistically significant warming trend, according to satellite-derived temperature data.

Since September 1994, University of Alabama in Huntsville’s satellite temperature data has shown no statistically significant global warming trend. For over 20 years there’s been no warming trend apparent in the satellite records and will soon be entering into year 21 with no warming trend apparent in satellite data — which examines the lowest few miles of the Earth’s atmosphere.

Of COURSE it'll be a trial about sanctuary cities; the defender and the sheriff

and the mayor and everyone else will work hard to make it so.  Because they don't give a rats ass about the dead American and her family.  Only about being progressive and protecting illegal aliens against the nasty U.S.

Democrat politician on American being murdered by multiple-felon illegal alien in a sanctuary city:
REP. LUIS GUTIERREZ: Every time a little thing like this happens, they use the most extreme example to say it must be eliminated.
Interesting.  Wonder what it would take for him to consider it 'not a little thing'; if there'd been torture and rape involved?

Considering Gutierrez, probably not.

This man was overweight.  And did something about it.  Well-done, sir.

Apparently Safe Streets took lessons from MAIG

City officials have suspended operations of the Safe Streets anti-violence program in East Baltimore after police officers found seven guns and drugs stashed inside the Monument Street office.

Police said a robbery investigation led them to the office, and two employees were among those arrested. The suspension sidelines the program's work in East Baltimore at a time when gun violence has been spiking.

We're supposed to trust ANY of these people why?
The original IRS scandal hinted at an intensive but narrow effort within one division to punish or at least make life difficult for the Obama administration's political opponents — the sort of thing that could perhaps be chalked up to a few bad actors. But the new documents suggest there were at least attempts to bring other agencies in on the wrongdoing.

Incidentally, the new documents also show how later, in July 2013, Obama Justice Department officials requested access to documents before they were handed over to Congress as part of the investigation into this IRS wrongdoing.

Well, you've got people willing to sit by the road with a flat for Deity-knows-how-long waiting for help because they're unable or unwilling to change a flat, so why not adults afraid of a fire extinguisher?

Hey, Google, if trying to rewrite history isn't evil, what is it?

MSNBC: They were all over the story before

the shooter's name came out, then all of a sudden everything else became more important.
Because a muslim terrorist striking in the US doesn't fit their preferred narrative.

Planned Parenthood Lies Again: It claims it gets a full informed consent to organ-hunt and sell those organs.

In fact, a look at its release form does not mention peddling organs. It merely says that the time or method of the abortion procedure will not be modified for such purposes.
It fails to conform with federal law which states that a full, informed consent to the organ harvesting must be granted.

That corrupt 'John Doe' investigation in Wisconsin?

The State Supreme Court is not amused.
...It is utterly clear that the special prosecutor has employed theories of law that do not exist in order to investigate citizens who were wholly innocent of any wrongdoing. ...
Now what needs to happen is the lawyers involved being disbarred.  And prosecuted for their violations of law and their ethical abuses.

And let's not forget the cops, especially the brass who were told to use SWAT raids on people FOR POLITICAL PURPOSES and went along with it.  They should have those badges taken away, and be charged if possible.  Qualified immunity isn't supposed to shield them from being held responsible for illegal actions.

Self-Defense Myths

That Just Won't Die.  Go read.

On the subject of "Idiots who have no idea

what they're actually trying to do" Tim Blair gives us this prize:
Ms Keith and her associates wish to wage “decisive ecological warfare” against… well, the rest of us, and to “disrupt and dismantle industrial civilisation,” with “complete economic collapse” as the path to salvation. When not signalling their intellectual wattage by calling for the “abolition” of masculinity and “whiteness,” and the “abolition” of the United States, “an illegitimate settler nation,” Deep Green Resistance very much like the idea of “sabotaging infrastructure” and cutting power lines, thereby leaving tens of thousands of people without light and heat.
Hey, what's lots of lives destroyed and lives lost when you're saving Mother Gaia?  And abolishing masculinity?

How long do you think most of these morons would survive without modern equipment?  Without modern medicines?

Reminds me of the idiots who cry for a 'gun-free world', seemingly having no historical knowledge of just what kind of world that was.

I would love to know what the blade was originally like

Dating of charcoal from one of the post holes shows that the grave is from around the year 1030, at the very end of the Viking Age. “And that fits in well with the discovery of the English coin.

The sword is 94 cm long; although the iron blade has rusted, the handle is well preserved. It is wrapped with silver thread and the hilt and pommel at the top are covered in silver with details in gold, edged with a copper alloy thread,” said project leader Zanette Glørstad.

And they're hard at work screwing with the 2020 census; this crap isn't going to slow down, let alone stop, until they start firing, fining and jailing people for this crap.

Being interested in quakes and volcanoes, I've read about the Cascadia Subduction Zone before; just ran across this on the 'One of these days' matter.

U.S. District Judge Richard M. Berman apparently misses not being in the Soviet Union, and wants to follow their lead of using psychiatry to punish people for bad thinking.  Miserable little bastard.

In a truly open-minded community, dedicated to our school’s motto lux libertas (Light and Liberty), all people would have this ability to speak their minds. What I learned that day at UNC, however, is that free speech, so fundamental to the academy, is only permitted to those who toe the “progressive” line. This exercise could have looked at our different backgrounds in an effort to cultivate true community, built on respect and politeness. Instead, we were “asked” to accept a perversion of true open-mindedness. Instead of encouraging us to each bring ourselves to the table and explore our differences cordially, we were told that some differences, namely non-“progressive” beliefs, were unacceptable. In order to be accepted, we must make our views uniform.

What the Iranians are saying about Obamas' cave(or assistance, whatever) includes
-) All nuclear installations and sites are to continue their work contrary to the early demands of the other party, none of them will be dismantled.
-) The policy on preventing enrichment uranium is now failed, and Iran will go ahead with its enrichment program.
-) Iran’s nuclear infrastructure will remain intact, no centrifuges will be dismantled and research and development on key and advanced centrifuges such as IR-4, IR-5, IR-6, IR-8 will continue.
Yeah, this is going to be GREAT...

I just realized hadn't posted the electrolyte formula

Went into the local spice shop a few days after the dehydration incident and got started talking with the owner- also a biker- and mentioned looking for something without so much sugar.
"We have a mix, would you like the recipe?"
Oh yes, indeed I would.  I've been using it, and seems to work.  Here 'tis:
Sports Splasher

  • 2 quarts water
  • 6 tablespoons honey powder (you can use honey, but honey powder is a bit easier to mix)
  • 2 teaspoons Himalayan pink sea salt
  • 2/3 cup lemon juice (if you prefer another citrus juice, you can use it instead)
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange extract  (for flavor; without it, the taste is fairly blah)
I've been using it the past couple of weeks, and it seems to work.  And you can tweak the ingredients to suit you:
I'm using that amount of salt, but you can drop it if you choose.
I'm only using 3 tablespoons of honey, seems to be plenty.
Can also use orange juice or lime juice, big factor is some type of citrus.
Sea salt still has the other minerals in, but you can use table salt.

I had some of this on the long run over the weekend, and it really helped; I just didn't have enough of it or water with me, should've stopped at stores a couple of times and bought a bottle(but noooo, I wanted to make time...)

So, while demanding they be given more of other peoples' money,

Planned Parenthood is involved in selling body parts.  Including ...and how the abortionist goes about ensuring those parts are not damaged in the abortion. She says the abortionist uses “ultrasound guidance, so they’ll know where they’re putting their forceps.”
Makes you wonder just how much money they're pulling in, doesn't it?

So, short version is "Not having the approved-by-the-doctor attitudes can get you labeled as diseased, and then drugged into compliance."  Wonderful what the medical profession can be, isn't it?

Government-run health care, what we have to look forward to(with an exception):

An internal Veterans Affairs Department report states that about one-third of the veterans waiting to receive medical care from the agency have already died.

A review of veteran death records provided to the Huffington Post found that, as of April, 847,822 veterans were awaiting healthcare and that of those, 238,647 were already deceased.
Etc.  The current excuse:
Spokeswoman Walinda West also said that more than 80 percent veterans who come to the department "have either Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare or some other private insurance.”

“Consequently, some in pending status may have decided to use other options instead of completing their eligibility application."
Translation: "They had some other option, that WORKED BETTER, so don't yell at us!"
Davis dismissed that argument.

"VA wants you to believe, by virtue of people being able to get health care elsewhere, it's not a big deal. But VA is turning away tens of thousands of veterans eligible for health care," he said. "VA is making it cumbersome, and then saying, 'See? They didn't want it anyway.'"
And when there IS no other option?  When EVERYTHING is like the VA?

We are so screwed.

Yes, I know, there are other challenges that could be made to Obamacare in the courts; you trust Congress to do it?  Those spineless vote-sucking chickenshit bastards?

Here's another homemade electrolyte supplement.  Ignore the "Use ORGANIC-" and so forth, and it looks decent.  I'm still using the one I wrote about before, as I know it works.

On my latest graceful moment,

it was taking something off a shelf when a piece of steel bar- with, of course, a sharp(very) corner, that should not have been there, pulled off the shelf.  And fell corner-first(of course) on my foot.  Giving me a hole in my shoe and a very interesting hole in the side of one toe.

Which, of course, bled like a punctured bag, leading to a trip to medical assistance which resulted in stitches.
Me: Here's what happened, I think it's going to take a couple of stitches.
Doc, after looking it over: I concur with your diagnosis.

Which I determined, barring collapse, was not going to prevent taking care of a matter, said matter resulting in 471 miles in the saddle over the weekend.  The good thing: once up to speed all the foot had to do was sit there, so it worked out.  Aside from the dehydration, etc.*

Anyway, all that stuff's taken care of.  Happily before today, as between the temp and humidity, well, I'd rather stand over a forge again than try to ride any real distance today.

Speaking of, the bike in travel trim:
Hard saddlebags would be nice, but do you know what the damn things cost?

*Highway speeds on a bike in current weather conditions just sucks moisture out of you

I'd say Gov. Howler is feeling some serious heat

First millions of people refuse to register firearms, basically saying "Come get us."  Now he's backing off on requiring background checks to buy ammo.

And, taking lessons from President Dear Leader, he's telling the legislature 'Screw you, this is what I want to do."
Democrats in the Legislature criticized the agreement. The Assembly speaker, Carl E. Heastie, a Bronx Democrat, said it was “an ill-advised end run around the Legislature and the Safe Act.”

“I did not participate in this ‘agreement’,” he said. “The law may not be ‘suspended’ by a memorandum such as this. I believe the law should be followed and implemented as intended.” A spokesman for the Senate Democrats, Mike Murphy, called the agreement “outrageous.”

Wonder if they were saying this when Obama was end-running around the Constitution?

Well, Mr. Ridge, you make the assumption that Obama actually wants to destroy ISIS...

Wonder if they'll start telling us the Royal Astronomical Society is bought-off by Big Oil or something?
...Predictions from the model suggest that solar activity will fall by 60 per cent during the 2030s to conditions last seen during the 'mini ice age' that began in 1645.

This is... There's a bunch of people who belong behind bars in this crap, and these two are among them.
The official behind the IRS' conservative nonprofit targeting scandal, Lois Lerner, was friends with the Wisconsin regulator who targeted Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's conservative aides and allies.

Lerner and Kevin Kennedy, director of the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board, were friends for 20 years and traded emails on campaign finance, politics, and personal matters between 2011 and 2013, emails obtained by the Wall Street Journal reveal. That was the same time frame the IRS increased its harassment of conservative groups and Wisconsin prosecutors conducted a secret John Doe probe of Walker's allies, raising the troubling question of whether they coordinated their investigations.

More and more like the 1930's...

So a group of German and Israeli researchers decided to analyze German textbooks to see what exactly German schools are teaching their students. They examined 1,200 history, geography and social studies textbooks from five German states, and concluded that these books portray Israel almost exclusively as a militarist, warmongering society.
Israel’s robust democracy, respect for human rights and other achievements are absent in these books. The illustrations consist of “tendentious and one-sided photographic presentations” of Israeli soldiers threatening or inflicting violence on Palestinians.
And the BBC has admitted it's on the enemy side:
“A BBC documentary has substituted the word ‘Israelis’ for ‘Jews’ in its translation of interviews with Palestinians, its maker has admitted.”

The New York Times: If the facts of a story don't suit the narrative, they'll change things.  Because the Preferred Narrative must be pushed at all costs to truth.

And now I'm going to try to get the mowing done before the heat index hits 'disgusting'.

This says it very well:

No, free speech does not end when it touches something that offends you, and you have no equivalent right to silence those who are insensitive to your feelings.

No, you have no right to feel safe.  You have no constitutional right. You have no moral right. You have no right at all.  You have a right not to be physically harmed, but your feelings, just like everyone else’s, are fair game for bruising.  No one says you have to suffer in silence. Don’t like how your Columbia professor uses classic literature that “triggers” your unsafe feelz? Go to Dartmouth. Don’t like how other people on the internets call you stupid? Don’t be stupid. Or turn off the computer. Or only click on links to cute kitteh pics.

Or just toughen up already, you special little snowflakes.  But neither you, nor Ali Jaffe, get to make up constitutional rights based upon how deeply you feel.  And the fact that Vice would publish such tripe is a disgrace.
