You'd think they want the Iranians to have nukes...

U.S. negotiators are said to have given up ground on demands that Iran be forced to disclose the full range of its nuclear activities at the outset of a nuclear deal, a concession experts say would gut the verification the Obama administration has vowed would stand as the crux of a deal with Iran.
...
Concern from sources familiar with U.S. concessions in the talks comes amid reports that Iran could be permitted to continue running nuclear centrifuges at an underground site once suspected of housing illicit activities.

This type of concession would allow Iran to continue work related to its nuclear weapons program, even under the eye of international inspectors. If Iran removes inspectors—as it has in the past—it would be left with a nuclear infrastructure immune from a strike by Western forces.
I think Obama does want Iran to have nuclear weapons; he considers it 'fair' since Israel has them.  Plus... I doubt he's muslim; I very much doubt he has any sincere religious belief(other than socialism).  I think he has very great feeling for muslims in general and muslim-run nations, and that's coloring everything he does.  Like making it hard to do anything serious about ISIL, like caving to the Iranian government, his refusal to say 'Islamic terrorism' and so forth.  And it's costing us, and will cost more in the future.

You can't declare his policy a failure unless you first know what he intends.

If he intends for Iraq to have nukes, this all makes sense.

I'm thinking this is also intended as a gift to the nasty ol' Republicans, who won't be out of office forever. Not only is it intended to help Iran and by extension Islamic State, Hamas, Hezbollah and Boko Haram to have nukes, it appears to make that disasterous day occur so a major war can commence under a Republican administration
