And the Serbia version of "We need registration and mental testing to own guns,

for public safety" is working out about like you'd expect.  With a bit more in the "Oh my!" department for the sanitation department:
The Serbian government asked people on Tuesday not to dispose of hand grenades and other munitions in the garbage, hoping to minimize accidents as it imposes tighter controls over privately held weapons.
Yeah, that'll work out well.
A police official told Reuters: "We have no clear idea how many pieces are kept illegally. Estimates vary anywhere between 200,000 and 900,000, so the more we can get through an amnesty, the better."
As usual it'll be mostly honest people who aren't a threat who turn stuff in; the bad guys won't.  Another Sarah Brady Paradise in the making.
