American Fork PD, Utah: one more bunch of lying, vicious,

corrupt bastards hiding behind badges.

I'm not going to excerpt from this, just go read it.  Note several things:
The county attorney was quite happy to conduct a crooked investigation.
NONE of the officers, for some reason, had their cameras on.
NONE of the officers gave a - fuck it, just go read about these assholes with badges.

I'm trying to figure how the AGW clowns will describe these people

as 'not REAL scientists!'...
Professor Richard Lindzen, formerly Alfred P Sloan Professor of Meteorology at Massachussetts Institute of Technology
John Christy, Professor of Atmospheric Science at the University of Alabama
Judith Curry, Chair of the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Georgia Tech
and, from further in,
The reason it’s so significant is that it comes only three years after one of the APS’s most distinguished members – Professor Hal Lewis – resigned in disgust at its endorsement of what he called “the global warming scam.”

Excuse me a moment, there're some people whose heads I have to explode.

Ok, I'm back.
Common Core sucks.  On multiple levels.  And so do the schools doing this:
She also didn’t want her two children to take part in health fitness tests, believing that that information should remain private.

On Steiner’s orders, Lewis’s children were pulled out of class so that school officials could belatedly administer the BMI testing.

“They were singled out and weighed and measured,” said Lewis. “They were humiliated.”
"Your childrens' feelings do not matter, citizen!  Only the dictates from above do!"  Etc.

Speaking of school brass and cops who should be horsewhipped,
The Minnewaska Area School district suspended Stratton for a Facebook post — published outside of school — in which she said she hated a school hall monitor for “being mean.” Stratton then went back on the social media site and asked which of her connections ratted her out.

After the parent of one of Stratton’s friends complained to the school about the “sexual nature” of a Facebook chat, school officials brought the then-13-year-old girl into a room with a local sheriff and forced her to give up her Facebook password. Officials then searched her page in front her, all the while without consulting a parent.
They did sue, but not for nearly enough.  "Citizen, everything your kid does is our business!  And we must control them at all times, in what they say and do!"
Get this bullshit:
“The school’s intent wasn’t to be mean or bully this student, but to really remedy someone getting off track a little,” Schmidt said.
Schmidt, you're a lying bastard.  You damn well intended to scare hell out of this kid and everyone else in the school.  You suck, you miserable little control-freak bastard.  And you should be fired.

On the bullshit 'punishment' for the officers in LA who damn near killed innocent people:
What professional officer can trust such officers? Not only did they demonstrate a lack of the most basic judgment necessary to function as police officers, they did it in a way that demonstrates that they are irredeemably dangerous, not only to themselves, but to their fellow officers and to the public.

The greatest damage is in the unilateral alteration of the social contract between the public and the police. No one expects police officers to be so timid as to allow killers to shoot them first before shooting back, and the law certainly does not require it. Every person of good will wants police officers to go home unscathed at the end of their shift. But they also need to know that police officers won’t panic and shoot up innocent women delivering newspapers while making the surrounding neighborhood look like a war zone.

The rule of law must apply to everyone. No citizen doing what those officers did should hope to escape decades in prison. No rational citizen should expect to escape the most severe consequences.

Which reminds me of something I just stoleborrowed,

That twit from Ebony who doesn't think blacks count if they're conservative?  Ebony apologized for her.

You'll notice the twit did NOT apologize; apparently they decided that would be too micro-aggressive stressful for her to handle.

I shall now delve back into the depths of SCIENCE!!

Or something like that.  Data, data, so much to study...

Senator Leland Yee, A+ from the Brady Center and

Super Villain!
I’ve got to hand it to Democrat state senator, Leland Yee. Most political scandals are the typical drug use, hookers, or bribery stuff. This guy reaches for the stars.  He isn’t messing around. There is no half assed corruption here. If Yee had a machine that could control the weather he’d be a Batman villain.

He got busted in an FBI sting, taking millions of dollars in bribes, to smuggle RPGs and machineguns through brutal Chinese tong gangs, through the Ukraine, to rebel insurgents in the Phillipines. No. I’m not making any of that up.

The part that makes this all so awesome and hilarious is that the only reason people like me know who Yee is, is because he’s the primary asshole behind disarming law abiding Californians. Yes. He is the anti-gun poster child. He has an A+ from the Brady Center morons. (Hmmm… Now that he’s been caught smuggling rocket launchers to Muslim rebels, but he’s still a democrat, they might downgrade him to a B).

Speaking of villains, well, you journalists have trained the administration to know it can get away with this kind of crap, so I hope you're not surprised.
A reporter has been detained by Capitol Hill police for trying to ask a question of Environmental Protection Agency administrator Gina McCarthy.
And let's not let the Capital Police off in this bullshit, either.
Natter was eventually let go after police checked with their superiors and ran a background check on the reporter, determining he had the proper press credentials.

And, in a 'get the popcorn!' moment,
Responding to a threat that the “House of Cards” television series may leave Maryland if it doesn’t get more tax credits, the House of Delegates adopted budget language Thursday requiring the state to seize the production company’s property if it stops filming in the state…
Del. William Frick, a Montgomery County Democrat, proposed the provision, which orders the state to use the right of eminent domain to buy or condemn the property of any company that has claimed $10 million or more credits against the state income tax. The provision would appear to apply only to the Netflix series, which has gotten the bulk of the state credits.
So assholes who mock the tea party want to be exempt from MORE taxes than they already are; and the pirates in Maryland want to steal their property if they stop production there...  this is definitely a "I hope they both lose" moment.

A lesson from the range

Pair of them, actually:
Don't shoot reloads put together by someone else unless you know and trust their work.

And if you pull the trigger and don't get a proper 'boom', stop right there and make sure everything is clear.  Or else.
Brand-new Para Ordnance .45, first gun he'd ever owned.  Guy fired five rounds, #6 gave a very mild 'bang' so he racked the slide and fired #7.

#7 managed to blow both the stuck bullet from the squib and itself out, bulging the barrel and splitting it lengthwise in two places.

Better look at one split

The wonders of modern steel and heat-treatment: not a scratch or other mark on the frame or slide.

Ok, Director, so what is this 'severe discipline'?

And why didn't you say?  Some 'personnel' reason, or did you decide that "Don't EVER get caught doing this again!" counts as 'severe'?

Why yes, my trust in the FBI is not exactly high right now.

Ask the editor for Ebony about a black conservative magazine, she assumes you're white.  And winds up comparing black conservatives to cockroaches.  And makes it plain that the views of black conservatives/libertarians(usually lumped together) are not worth attention.  Nossir, no bigotry there!

I don't know if it's 'Lessons lost' or

control freaks who don't trust the peasants.  Of course, it's possible Gorman doesn't care about the stink after Katrina, or just thinks "People in uniform shouldn't have to worry about the commoners having tools in a disaster situation."

Note also that some LE really don't like this law, and tried to play back-door games to kill it.  And then tried to weasel around being held to account for it.

Think Progress* thinks(more like BELIEVES WITH A PASSION!) that 'innocent until proven guilty' doesn't belong in matters involving self-defense and guns.

Allow me to use bad language here: do these assholes not have any idea the hole to hell they're trying to open?  For themselves as well as everyone else?

Also thanks to GFZ,

What cartridge for giant friggin' rat?
And is there a PUFF bounty on them?

DC: a more wretched hive of scum and villainy you'll never see.
Now spend some time figuring how much money and time that could've been used going after actual criminals was wasted on this SO FAR.  Because you know it'll be appealed.

The prosecutors and police could've been chasing gangbangers and openly-lawbreaking politicians and journalists, but nooooo...

*If it were Think Progress Toward Tyranny, it would be more accurate

Speaking of the EffingBI actually doing something,

this had to shock a bunch of the Usual Suspects:
The Southern Poverty Law Center, which has labeled several Washington, D.C.-based family organizations as "hate groups" for favoring traditional marriage, has been dumped as a "resource" on the FBI's Hate Crime Web page, a significant rejection of the influential legal group.

The Web page scrubbing, which also included eliminating the Anti-Defamation League, was not announced and came in the last month after 15 family groups pressed Attorney General Eric Holder and FBI Director James Comey to stop endorsing a group -- SPLC -- that inspired a recent case of domestic terrorism at the Family Research Council.
Be is said that this- especially the SPLC- should've happened a LONG time ago; so, what's happened that it now has?  Just what's putting pressure on the EffingBI to act like it actually cares about facts and law enforcement instead of acting as part of the Praetorian Guard?

Some of Sen. Yee's 'We must do something about guns!' tweets Updated!

over here.
Ah, the tears that must be falling!  To have a good progressive gun bigot caught trafficking in illegal arms...

Speaking of:
Makes you wonder just how long he's had these connections, and what else he may have been doing, doesn't it?

A 137-page criminal complaint charges 26 people -- including Yee and Chow -- with a panoply of crimes, including firearms trafficking, money laundering, murder-for-hire, drug distribution, trafficking in contraband cigarettes, and honest services fraud.
Ah, that's it!  He was associated with CIGARETTE SMUGGLING, the evil bastard!

Had a comment on the previous post that included
...Just within the last few days news of the feebs hitting a bunch of Dems for gun running, fraud, corruption, etc. My first thought was "whose toes did they manage to step on"?

It's not like the feds give a damn about crime as long as the criminals are comrades in good standing
.
So it's seemed.  So,  did they piss off the administration somehow?  Or is the EffingBI and DoJ actually acting like LE organizations to try and take off some of the heat from their other crap?
Yes, trust in both organizations is rather low lately.

Update:
Interesting people Yee is connected with:
Yee masterminded a complex scheme to import illegal weapons: “Keith Jackson [a political consultant who worked as Yee's fundraiser] told [an agent] that Senator Yee had a contact who deals in arms trafficking. This purported arms dealer was later identified. Jackson requested [a campaign donation] on behalf of Senator Yee, for Senator Yee to facilitate a meeting with arms dealer with the intent of [the agent] to purportedly purchase a large number of weapons to be imported through the Port of Newark, New Jersey. During a meeting [...] Senator Yee discussed certain details of the specific types of weapons [the agent] was interested in buying and importing.”
Yee had connection with Filipino rebel groups: ”Keith Jackson advised that Senator Yee had an unidentified Filipino associate who was supplying ‘heavy’ weapons to rebel groups in the Philippines.”
...
These rebel groups:
Including Muslim terrorists: “According to Senator Yee, Mindanao was largely population by Muslim rebel groups who were fighting the federal government. Yee continued by saying the Muslim rebels had no problem ‘kidnapping individuals, killing individuals, and extorting them for ransom.’”
And yet he wanted to arm them, while disarming law-abiding Americans.
In specific the Moro Islamic Liberation Front: “[The agent] asked about the major Muslim organizations in the Mindanao region of the Philippines. Senator Yee responded by saying ‘M.I.L.F.’”
Yee apparently wasn’t making up his arms dealer. It’s a real person. A real Russian person.
And, Russian arms dealers: “According to Senator Yee, the arms dealer source the weapons from Russia.”
Expect moose and squirrel to appear at any time with more evidence.

Must've been a LOT of pressure

on the EffingBI; about damn time.

Ever had someone check the Body Mass Index as if it were Holy Writ and tell you what you should weigh?  Thought they were full of crap?  Well, a nurse told this lady, based on the index,
that she's borderline obese and needs to start a diet.  Immediately.

Next time someone starts whining about evil, lying conservatives/Republicans/etc., give them some examples of the sterling character of the left; couple of my favorites:
Senator Harry Reid got just a slap on the wrist for his declaration that Barack Obama was a “light-skinned” African American with “no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.” Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia earned a pass for being an Exalted Cyclops in the KKK and filibustering the Civil Rights Act by voting the right way as his Senate career progressed. Left-of-center magazines with nearly entirely white editorial staffs tear into the Republican party for insufficient diversity in its ranks.

Exploitation? Michael Moore didn’t use union workers on his film claiming that greedy corporations exploit workers. The Nation, which pays its interns the minimum wage of $7.25 per hour, wrote an open letter to Walmart demanding that it pay its workers at least $12 per hour. The American Prospect, which frequently demands a hike in the minimum wage, offers a $100 weekly stipend for a full-time internship.

Many opponents of voucher programs send their kids to private schools. John Edwards called for steep tax hikes, after years of using a legal loophole to save $600,000 in Medicare taxes. If you have the right party affiliation, you can do anything. You can even run up a giant carbon footprint traveling around the world urging other people to reduce their carbon footprint.

Apparently Sen. Yee was taking lessons from MAIG

The indictment alleges Yee and Jackson defrauded "citizens of honest services" and were involved in a scheme to traffic firearms in exchange for thousands in campaign donations to the senator.

Federal prosecutors also allege Yee agreed to perform official acts in exchange for the money, including one instance in which he introduced a businessman to state legislators who had significant influence over pending medical marijuana legislation. In exchange, the businessman -- who was actually an undercover FBI agent -- agreed to donate thousands to Yee's campaign fund, according to the indictment.

The indictment also describes an August 2013 exchange in which Jackson told an undercover officer that Yee had an arms-trafficking contact. Jackson allegedly said Yee could facilitate a meeting for a donation.
Why the comparison to MAIG, you ask?
The gun charges go against Yee's stand as a gun control advocate.

In 2006, Yee was named to the Gun Violence Prevention Honor Roll by the Brady Campaign for his efforts that included co-authoring a first-in-the-nation bill to require new semiautomatic handguns be equipped with ballistics identification technology known as micro-stamping.

In 2013, he stood with law enforcement officials and then-Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa to propose a bill that would regulate assault weapons.
Makes you wonder how long the corrupt little shit's been doing this, doesn't it?

A birth control pill or shot for men;

that WOULD change some things.

Rhode Island state senator Joshua Miller: Dirtbags In Office example

“The second amendment shall not be infringed, you people need to understand that,” Bidondi told Miller.

“Go f*ck yourself,” Miller responded as he smiled, before one of his staffers repeated the insult.

According to another individual who was with Bidondi, Miller repeated the “go f*ck yourself” jibe a further two times after he was told “the majority is outside”. Miller had previously asserted that the majority was inside when speaking to a pro-gun control audience.
This is a State Senator, in public, to someone who dares to disagree with him; wonderful jackass, isn't he?  Add in his staffer leaning VERY close to the mike and saying it as well; taking his example of public behavior from his boss.

Meanwhile, in Georgia,
...The legislation passed 112-58.  The compromise by the House and Senate brought the following changes:
  • Removal of fingerprinting for renewal of Weapons Carry Licenses (WCL).
  • Prohibiting the state from creating and maintaining a database of WCL holders.
  • Creation of an absolute defense for the legal use of deadly force in the face of a violent attack.
  • Removal of the sweeping restrictions on legally carrying a firearm with a WCL in churches and bars, leaving this decision to private property owners.
  • Lowering the age to obtain a concealed WCL for self-defense from 21 to 18 for active duty military, with specific training.
  • Repealing the unnecessary and duplicative state-required license for a firearms dealer, instead requiring only a Federal Firearms License (FFL).
  • Prohibiting a ban on firearms in public housing, ensuring that the right to self-defense should not be infringed based on where one calls home.
  • Codifying the ability to legally carry, with a WCL, in sterile/non-secure areas of airports.
And that's just part of it.  One of the others that's very nice:
Including a provision that would have the state report those persons who have been involuntarily hospitalized or have been adjudicated mentally deficient to the NICS system while also providing an ability for relief through an application process to the court system for the purpose of restoration of rights.
Which should be the case everywhere, so being accused of 'mental problems'(see Illinois) doesn't screw you forever.

And yes, the Usual Suspects are having cows.  Including their usual scaremongering and flat-out lying:
Opponents of the bill refer to the measure as an expansion of Stand Your Ground because it has the potential to give felons and other individuals currently banned from owning a gun permission to carry in unauthorized areas.
Just offhand I spot three lies in that; but it's what they do.

Speaking of Illinois, in case you never heard before just how they got their handgun ban in Chicago, go here.
Powerful Chicago Alderman Ed Burke worked with Alderman Fred Roti , a "high ranking made member" of the Chicago Mob, to disarm law abiding citizens. Here's the setup.
Surprisingly, even more crooked deal-making is involved.

The answers weren’t that complicated.  All these social welfare programs, affirmative actions, etc. were a signal to African Americans that they were inferior, that somehow they couldn’t make it without help.  This became a self-fulfilling prophecy, a kind of mass Stockholm Syndrome.  And, quite naturally, it engendered a great deal of anger.

The system wasn’t all that different from giving heroin or alcohol to a family member to ease him or her out of their addiction.  It didn’t work but it kept them dependent.
Someone pointed out years back that a kid graduating from a segregation-era black high school had a better education than they get from most "We care about you" schools now.  Had higher graduation rates as well, if I recall correctly.

ATF gets slapped down

on their "We'll tell you what the rules are after we decide you've broken them" methods.
Uncle Sam arbitrarily classified a new device as a firearm silencer without sufficient review or a decent explanation why, a federal judge’s somewhat scathing opinion states.
“In any agency review case, a reviewing court is generally obligated to uphold a reasonable agency decision that is the product of a rational agency process,” U.S. District Judge John Bates wrote Wednesday. “This is not a high bar. But in this case, ATF fails to clear it.”
Nice to see a judge finally call them on this.  I like this part too:
He also granted Innovator summary judgment on its claim under the Administrative Procedure Act, holding that the agency’s action must be set aside as arbitrary and capricious because of the agency’s failure to “articulate a satisfactory explanation” and “examine the relevant data” in classifying Innovator’s Stabilizer Brake as a “firearm silencer.”

Over in CT, they're still pretending they're not screwing gun owners and trashing the 2nd:
Starting April 1st, gun buyers will be required to apply for a certificate from the state before purchasing any long gun from either a licensed or private seller. State Police warn it could add weeks if not months to what was a two week process.
Yeah, no screwing with the right to arms there, noooo...

And isn't this a comforting denial?
She wants to make very clear that the talk of confiscation is nonsense.  “There’s no plan in place nor has there been any execution of a plan where we would, for example, go door-to-door and be actively involved in the confiscation of weapons,” says Schriro, who took over as Commissioner of Emergency Services and Public Protection at the end of January.
...no plan IN PLACE...  Hasn't been any execution of a plan, which means "We haven't done this, at least not yet."
Comforting as hell, isn't it?  And let's not forget they put together a letter telling people "You haven't done what we order, you bad boy, so you have to surrender, destroy or get rid of your guns."  But no 'confiscations', oh no!  From an earlier post:
But one would suppose that whether or not Connecticut is conducting a systematic program of gun confiscation depends on what the meaning of the word "is" is, as former President Bill Clinton so famously quipped in sworn testimony in a court of law in the 1990s when he was asked direct questions about whether or not he told the truth when he claimed repeatedly that he did not have an affair with Monica Lewinsky.

Confiscation does not depend on law enforcement or government officials going door to door to physically remove "forbidden" items. Governments have and continue to engage in confiscation by requiring citizens to turn in forbidden items or destroy them.

In the case of Connecticut, citizens have several choices at their disposal, all of which amount to confiscation -- that is, by law they are relieved and deprived of the right to possess "assault weapons" and magazines that can hold more than 10 bullets.

Under the terms of the new law, a citizen can store their weapons and magazines out of state. Or they can take them to a licensed gun dealer and sell them. Or they can destroy them or take them to government authorities and turn them in.

Each of these choices amounts to one thing -- citizens are being deprived of the right to possess items they bought and paid for in good faith, with their own hard earned money. And that "is" what is referred to as "confiscation."

Hand out literature countering what's being said, get called a 'parasite'.

No actual warming to scream about?

just double-down on everything!
UN scientists are set to deliver their darkest report yet on the impacts of climate change, pointing to a future stalked by floods, drought, conflict and economic damage if carbon emissions go untamed.
It hasn't been warming, their models suck, but if they give up on this they lose a BIG tool in their 'control everyone' arsenal.

Some tab clearing, so I can clear these out:

This'll set off the usual suspects:
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Language is needed to clarify the intent of the right to bear arms in the Oklahoma Constitution, according to state Rep. Dan Fisher.

“It’s obvious that Oklahoma’s Founding Fathers when drafting the state constitution considered self-defense the primary reason citizens have the right to bear arms,” Fisher said. “Unfortunately, Oklahoma courts have sometimes interpreted the state constitution in ways that go against that intent. Concerned citizens feel it is necessary to place new language into the state constitution to clarify the right, to correct past misinterpretations by Oklahoma courts and to prevent similar misinterpretations from occurring in the future.”

Looks like the Fish & Wildlife Service needs a serious cleaning-out

The corrupt bastards.
During one hunter’s trial in Haywood County, agents admitted to buying illegal bait for bears in Tennessee, and placing it in a hunter’s yard in Graham County. Hunters witnessed the officers killing at least four of the ten bears that were taken. These agents, against the advice of hunters, removed the bears’ gallbladders and called hunters from surrounding counties to try to get them to participate in the illegal selling of bear parts. The hunters refused to take part in this illegal activity. These are only two of the many tactics used in attempts to entrap hunters of Western North Carolina.
And of COURSE they have ninja suits and Stasi attitudes, and choose to exercise them:
Additionally, state and federal agents employed “Gestapo-like” techniques in search and seizure of so-called “evidence”, including improper service of search-warrants.

Men in bullet-proof vests, with M-16 rifles came into homes where women were alone.
In one house, more than 20 agents with guns drawn, terrorized screaming toddlers and left them unsupervised while the parents were roughed up, searched, handcuffed, and taken outside the home. To this day, these children display post-traumatic stress symptoms.

They left homes in disarray and removed items unrelated to bear hunting: a laptop computer, hunting picture of deceased family member, legally killed mounted deer and boar heads, duck and turkey calls belonging to a four-year-old boy, a boat and boat titles, a front-end loader, personal vehicles, and many other items, which have not been returned.
And, being the corrupt bastards they are- I am including the prosecutors involved- they try to push people into pleading guilty to SOMETHING, so they can claim they 'got results':
To date, hunters who have had jury trials have not been convicted. In one case in Graham County, agents could not produce video “evidence”. Enticements were made by prosecutors including an offer to drop some charges if the hunter involved would plead guilty. The hunter refused and requested a jury trial. In this case, all charges were dropped due to lack of evidence.

And, in usual form anymore, what does the F&S do with these corrupt clowns?  Give them awards.
By Linda Crisp-In recent news, it has been reported that six U.S. Forest Service (USFS) employees from Western North Carolina were awarded “Law Enforcement and Investigations Awards” by the USFS for their roles in “Operation Something Bruin”, a four-year, multi-agency investigation targeting “bear poachers” in WNC and surrounding states, resulting in arrests in February 2013.

Also, in October, the National Wildlife Federation bestowed “prestigious conservation honors” on Sgt. Chad Arnold, an officer from Charlotte with the Special Investigations Unit of the N.C. Wildlife Commission. Arnold was named “Wildlife Enforcement Officer of the Year”, and the Commission was named the “Natural Resources Agency of the Year”, according to a press release from the N.C. Wildlife Commission.
Note that the Forest Service got involved in this crap, too.

Time to make some BIG cuts in budgets.  And fire some people.  And see some prosecutors disbarred.

Why? Because she's a problem for Planned Parenthood,

and so must be destroyed.
Now, in 2014, almost one year to the day of Gosnell’s perverse not-guilty plea, Planned Parenthood announced it is actively working to remove Margo Davidson from office. They have endorsed one of her primary opponents—opponents who have emerged because Rep. Davidson’s witness to the suffering of her family has unsettled certain factions in the Democratic Party.

It is hard to imagine a political maneuver that more clearly lays bare the chilling motivations at the heart of America’s abortion industry.
...
If Planned Parenthood really cared about women like Semika Shaw, it would have examined and reformed itself in the wake of the Gosnell revelations. But two years later Planned Parenthood of Wilmington, Delaware—only 30 miles from Philadelphia—was shut down by the state after nurses reported “meat market-style assembly line abortions.” Patients were moved through the facility at such a pace that bloody discharge would remain on the exam table as woman after woman after woman was herded into the office. Kermit Gosnell would’ve been right at home.

Interesting how many people look at a law saying "Facilities must have standards equal to-" and such and immediately start screaming "MY BODY!  You're trying to control me!"  Well, maybe you're willing to overlook shortcomings in sterile conditions and practices, but I'm not; if your abortion shop can't meet standards, it SHOULDN'T be open, no matter how much you scream.

Gee, why might the Israelis in particular and a lot of Jews in general have a problem with trusting the Palistinians?
The obvious question is: What is the solution to this gang of people? The Al-Anfal chapter of the Koran provides us with the answer. After He said: "They are the ones with whom you made a covenant, but they break their covenant every time," Allah added: "If you gain mastery over them in a war, use them to disperse those who follow them that they may remember." This indicates that we must massacre them, in order to break them down and prevent them from sowing corruption in the world. They are the ones who still spark the flame of war, but Allah has taken it upon Himself to extinguish it.
[...]
We must restore them to the state of humiliation imposed upon them. They should be dhimmi citizens. This status must be imposed upon them by war. They must pay the jizya security tax while they live in our midst.
Would YOU trust the bastards?  I would; I'd trust them to attempt exactly what this.

Ebola makes another "Remember me?" appearance.

True. And a warning

Once, when I was teaching at an institution that bent over backward for foreign students, I was asked in class one day, “What is your policy toward foreign students?” My reply was: “To me, all students are the same. I treat them all the same and hold them all to the same standards.” The next semester there was an organized boycott of my classes by foreign students. When people get used to preferential treatment, equal treatment seems like discrimination.
—Thomas Sowell, “The Highway to Serfdom,” today.

The weekend included the kind of picture

that makes MDA and Bloomberg shiver in outrage
and Sarah Brady cry(pic stolen from Jennifer).  We got EBRs, we got milsurp, we got .30-caliber down to .22.  And that's not counting the handguns.

From the evening before, which included showing things and a bunch of smoked meat
Our hostess, with hubby hiding behind someone

The day of

Remember  a mention of Tannerite?  Sue before
 and Sue after
I personally think her name should've been Bustette(Busterette?), but a bit late for changes now.

Picture of people taking pictures of someone actually shooting
Jennifer on the left, Michael on the right, and David in the center

Now, about the gong, we didn't figure a way to hang it so it would properly sound off, so had to go by vision.  Sometimes a problem at 300.  This is from Saturday, almost all .223/5.56
One fairly good crater at low right, otherwise all 'ding!'  Those bulges with the paint gone are from Sunday:
The .223 here are from Michael's brother, who was popping at it offhand with his EBR(which has a ACOG I'd steal if he wouldn't shoot me).  The rest were .308 and 7.62x54.
Note to self for next time: fluorescent orange paint.  The white showed up fairly well, but the red just kind of faded into the background at that distance.

A good noisy weekend overall.

Bet LAPD and LASO still wonder why people don't trust them

Do you drive a car in the greater Los Angeles Metropolitan area? According to the L.A. Police Department and L.A. Sheriff's Department, your car is part of a vast criminal investigation.

The agencies took a novel approach in the briefs they filed in EFF and the ACLU of Southern California's California Public Records Act lawsuit seeking a week's worth of Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) data. They have argued that "All [license plate] data is investigatory." The fact that it may never be associated with a specific crime doesn't matter.
I'd say such a load of crap should be used for fertilizer, but this is corrosive enough to kill the plants.

There are reasons someone started calling in the Dark and Fascist State of New Jersey.
And it seems 'State Police' is, like in the DPRM, a very appropriate name.

And there's reasons I refer to the Democratic People's Republic of Maryland, too.
Next time someone insists 'All you have to do is call 911!', refer them to this:
“When the shots were fired Jessica called 911,” Michael continued. “Matt spoke to the operator; he removed the clip from his gun and the bullet in the chamber. Police arrived within five minutes.”
Yeah, NOTHING bad could happen in the 'within five minutes' it takes the cops to get there, right?

“Chickens will eat anything.” She was saying. “They’ll eat the fox and grow strong!”

Yes! I liked this plan.

This will train them to be super killer fox eating monster chickens!
You'll have to read the whole of this for yourself; it defies summarizing.

Yes, I have some pictures from the Schutenfest; yes, I'll write about it later today.  Now I need to go out and get some grocery shopping done.  Which should loosen up  my feet and ankles a bit, which will be helpful.

"All cultures are equal!" my ass

A similar moment of cultural confusion also occurred in real life, according to the BBC, which recently reported the very first attempted prosecutions in Britain for female genital mutilation. One of the leads pursued by police followed what the BBC delicately described as a “misunderstanding”:
“A suspect contacted an FGM helpline to request the procedure for his two daughters after misunderstanding the purpose of the service for victims.”
...
Indeed. Even more remarkable than this bloke’s mistaken notion of how a mutilation helpline works is that Britain is only now taking serious legal steps against those who brutalise young girls for the sake of Islam.
There have been no prosecutions in the UK despite FGM being outlawed nearly 30 years ago, and despite more than 140 referrals to police since 2010. Those referrals only give a tiny hint to the scale of these vicious crimes. Last year Britain’s National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children produced research indicating that more than 70 women and girls in Britain seek treatment every month after undergoing genital mutilation.
70 females a month.  That's  840 a year.  That's the ones actually seeking treatment; wonder how many can't or won't?

This is part of what I did today

This is the steel plate hanging right at 300 yards after a number of .223, .308 and 7.62x54r bullets hit it.

I lay claim to a few of the 7.62.

Also, Tannerite is interesting stuff.

One more thing: Moms Demand some Action admit they're owned

by Bloomberg.  For his pocket money, yet.

Yes, it's morning now

Yes, I slept well.  I'm also a bit sore- mostly from lots of walking over broken ground- and the shoulder is giving me some notice of unhappiness, so details on the noisemaking later.  Also, I may go back.

In the meantime, you can see what a corrupt and nasty bunch of people work at the Washington Post.  Makes you wonder if they got a push from Harry Reid, or if they just hate the Koch brothers on their own.

There's also a response at Powerline, which notes
And yet, a still deeper level of corruption is on display here. Juliet Eilperin is a reporter for the Washington Post who covers, among other things, environmental politics. As I wrote in my prior post, she is married to Andrew Light. Light writes on climate policy for the Center for American Progress, a far-left organization that has carried on a years-long vendetta against Charles and David Koch on its web site, Think Progress. Light is also a member of the Obama administration, as Senior Adviser to the Special Envoy on Climate Change in the Department of State. The Center for American Progress is headed by John Podesta, who chaired Barack Obama’s transition team and is now listed as a “special advisor” to the Obama administration. Note that Ms. Eilperin quoted Podesta, her husband’s boss, in her puff piece on Tom Steyer.

Oh, yes–one more thing. Guess who sits on the board of the Center for American Progress? Yup. Tom Steyer.
I repeat: corrupt bastards.

Speaking of corrupt dirtbags, I give you the response of Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane to being called on some pretty blatant corruption: threaten to sue people.
The decision to lawyer up and take “appropriate action” against either the leakers or the papers goes far beyond the bounds of a reasonable response. This is indisputably a newsworthy story. The public deserves to know what happened with this investigation and why it happened. Kane’s acceleration from “it was racism” to “it’s the Good Ol’ Boys” to “I will start suing people” is despicable in any public servant, but even more so from the state’s top prosecutor.
I'm also wondering just what reaction she's getting from the prosecutors and investigators she called racists; be interesting if they sued her for lying about them, wouldn't it?

Representative Renee Ellmers of North Carolina; didn't take long for her to turn into an arrogant, abusive, lying politician, did it?

That's it for now, as even if I don't go back I've got stuff to clean.
