"Free speech? Why do we need that

messing up our enlightened society?"
  • At Westminster, the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee declares that the BBC should seek ‘special clearance’ before it interviews climate sceptics, such as fringe wacko extremists like former Chancellor Nigel Lawson.
  • In Massachusetts, Brandeis University withdraws its offer of an honorary degree to a black feminist atheist human rights campaigner from Somalia.
  • In London, a multitude of liberal journalists and artists responsible for everything from Monty Python to Downton Abbey sign an open letter in favour of the first state restraints on the British press in three and a quarter centuries.
Scary as hell, isn't it?
‘What really bothered me is the whole idea that at a liberal arts college we need to be hearing a diversity of opinion.’ Yeah, who needs that? There speaks the voice of a generation: celebrate diversity by enforcing conformity.
"I didn't come to this college to hear other opinions, I came to here my own!"

Looks like the Border Patrol has joined the line of Organizations That Can Kiss My Ass.
In a letter dated April 16 and sent to Manuel Padilla, Jr., Chief Border Patrol Agent for the Tucson sector, the American Civil Liberties Union of Arizona describes agents at the Arivaca checkpoint threatening protesters with arrest, forcing them behind an arbitrary line at the edge of a "Border Patrol Enforcement Zone," refusing to identify themselves, cursing at the locals, and blocking their view of agents' activities.

Some of the agents' actions are incredibly petty, such as parking a running vehicle so that the exhaust vents directly at the protesters. Then when they move, agents set another running vehicle in front of them.
...
Other Arivacans report that agents at the checkpoint have told them, "You have no rights here," or that all community members are considered suspect simply by virtue of living in Arivaca.
'You have no rights here.'  Really?  That's what the BP has come to?  Screw you oathbreaking clowns.

Why are Democrats such nasty, violent people?

Apparently just inspecting the friggin' mascot head was too much work for the SS, so they threatened death instead.
