I have a bleg: crank radios

Experience?  Good or stay-away-from?  Daughter's radio flat died the other day(just in time for the storms, yay!), and I want to find one that'll also charge her phone if need be.

What kind of phone?

I'm a big fan of the Eton Microlink, as it's a crank flashlight/radio (also gets weather band, which is important) but it won't charge an iPhone.

I have a review of it here: http://lurkingrhythmically.blogspot.com/2012/10/palettes-product-reviews-two.html

And thanks for the recommendation

I'd have to second the Eton suggestion, I have an FR600, and it's worked great. It will charge anything that uses USB to charge

And a hearty third on the Eton. Cannot recommend it highly enough!

Had the Eton 300FR got the Uniden Traveler Base station. AM/FM/WX and GMRS uses AA and an internal battery pack can be charged through cig lighter adapter wall wart or cranking, comes with separate microphone that plugs in and has a mic above the speaker.

Appreciate it, all of you, helps a lot to hear from people who've actually used the things.
