Tab clearing,starting with Gunwalker news

Deal near on Holder contempt charges?

Some sort-of  punishment for those involved in Gunwalker?

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius violated federal law by campaigning for President Obama on the taxpayers’ dime, but now that initial violation has the Democratic National Committee and an HHS aide in the spotlight for related alleged infractions.

One of Obama's favorite domestic terrorists calls for gun bans; no word as to whether she wants bombs decriminalized.

Troops respond to the gun bigots

Wind turbine falls over in 50mph winds; sucker would never last in OK.

I know exactly what got the wind turbine. The dirty little secret is that they don't work in ACTUAL high winds. The tower can't take it, so they feather the prop to let the wind pass and lock the motor. It generates no power, but allows the tower to present the least resistance.

On this one, either the wind sensor failed, and the computer didn't know how high the wind was, or the computer failed, and it tried to keep generating power instead of feathering and shutting down.

Looks like it was a piddly little 50KVA one too,

as for it being sited in a "windy part of the country"

here's the windspeed graph for the past few days for a genuinely windy part of Britain;
