And who didn't see this coming?

New York state on Wednesday asked the U.S. federal government to pay all the costs of cleaning up and repairing damage from massive storm Sandy that tore through the Northeast this week and crippled New York City.

Governor Andrew Cuomo said he is asking fellow Democrat, President Barack Obama, to pay 100 percent of the estimated $6 billion bill, at a time that state and local government budgets remain constrained by a weak economic recovery.
Yeah, New York has the same problems as every other state, so the feds should reach into our pockets to pay ALL of New Effing York's costs.

In a pig's ass.

And this is just one of the many reasons why I support Texas seceding, no matter who wins the election next week. Romney, Obama, doesn't matter, I'm tired of the socialist-wannabe states funding their sinkholes from the wallets of the rest of us!

NY, along with Texas, is consistently on the list of 15 or so states that pay more money into the federal system than they get back from it. NYC is one of the main drivers of the US economy. As such, they don't need a bailout, but they may need to pay less into the federal system for the next couple of years.
