It should be noted that riding in ~100 degree temps

isn't bad if you drink enough; it's when you have to stop and sit for a few minutes that it really sucks.

OH, my, yes.

Used to ride from MCAS Yuma, AZ, to Tucson and back in the summer. Learned to take cover real quick if I spotted a sandstorm.

The rubberized asphalt on the freeways 'round Phoenix makes daily riding even more fun. Good thing I'm about half lizard.

In Vegas I learned that riding down the road at 70 mph at 135 deg is just like riding up the tailpipe of a jet engine. The military kind with afterburners, not those big swamp coolers they put on the commercial planes.

135? Bleep, that sounds like standing over the forge on a bad day. Or in the open door of a furnace
