Giving credit where due

on that .45acp load with plated bullets I mentioned a few days ago:
In the comments Kevin mentioned his load using Ranier bullets, basically identical to mine. Which tripped a (stuck) relay, which reminded me I'd read a review of the Ranier bullets at Midway by a guy named Kevin(surprise!) which made me decide to try the Berry's in a full-house load, which led to the post. So it's all his fault.

Added: if you've never looked there, check out T.J. Conevera; they carry both Berry's and X-Treme plated bullets, and sometimes have the best price, including the shipping.

On an entirely unrelated matter, friend sent me pictures of some custom helmets; couple of them I don't think I'd wear.

I used Ranier bullets for my reloads. Midway USA will ship you 2000 230 gr. round nose bullets for less than $300.

is there any advantage to using a lighter bullet?

I wanted, same as Kevin, to duplicate my carry load while not spending myself broke on bullets; so, 200 grain it is.

Would the third helmet from the top qualify as an 'asshat'?

Damn, I don't ride a motorcycle. If I did, I'd go for the Brain Bucket.

Where'd you see these? If not too expensive, I have a neighbor who is very helpful now that my back is mostly toast, and I've been looking for some original kind of way to tell him thanks.

Arthur, that was the first think I thought of on that one.

Gerry, no idea; friend just saw the pictures somewhere and sent them on.
