I'd have called 911 and reported him. And seen if I could file charges; there is NO EXCUSE for this kind of crap.

If it'd been me that he'd grabbed, I wouldn't have near as polite or anything; the SOB would've got an elbow to the throat, then a knee to the nose, and if he was lucky, I wouldn't have ripped that arm out to beat him with it! I can see that he probably thought these kids were doing some type of "ambush journalism" with crazy-assed questions, leading to his angry defensiveness, but that's still not a good excuse for that behavior. Of course, it'd be the luck of someone who did try defending themselves against this prick, to find out he's one of DC's "Only Ones" with a CCW/CHL from the Chief of Police.
