I sense a certain disconnect in the Amtrack police chief's words

(for that matter, Amtrack has a police chief?)
“While terrorists can employ many tactics, overwhelming historical evidence indicates that terrorist attacks on surface transportation will likely occur in (3) forms: Use of improvised explosive devices on a trains, use of an IED at a station, [or an] emerging threat as an active shooter,” O'Connor said.

“We will continue to devote the bulk of our efforts to defending against and deterring the most likely and dangerous forms of attack, which will continue to be IEDs and active shooters,” he added
.
The current bill is for being able to take your gun along as checked baggage in a locked case(God forbid the peasants who've jumped through hoops to get a carry permit be allowed to), much like on an airline; but this clown apparently considers that terrorists would- what? Break into the baggage car and take out guns to use? He expects TERRORISTS to obey the law in the first place?

As Insty says, 'in the very best of hands', etc.
