Well, isn't that nice; ANOTHER Maoist in the Obama

collective. Well, he's got at least one terrorist(Ayers) advising him, so this shouldn't be a big surprise(to people who didn't drink the kool-aid, it isn't). And since so many in the media are willing to either ignore things,
"One of the reasons we did so many of the David Plouffe videos was not just for our supporters, but also because it was a way for us to get our message out without having to actually talk to reporters," she said (emphasis added). "We just put that out there and made them write what Plouffe had said as opposed to Plouffe doing an interview with a reporter. So it was very much we controlled it as opposed to the press controlled it."(and how many media weenies said a word about this?)
or actively try to help hide them(remember the Van Jones non-story?), we don't hear about these things from them.

Like, how many major media outlets are talking about the fact that Congress exempted itself from Obamacare? Which, if it's so wonderful, why do this?

I wonder how much wordage they'll give to the way Obama betrayed the Iranian protesters because, it turns out, he was secretly talking to the mullahs? And how many words will they say about his being suckered by them? Not many, I'll bet.

On the other side, we have the RNC-supported candidate who has people trying to shield her from questions she doesn't like, to the point of calling the cops. A candidate who will vote for card-check and won't answer tax questions isn't going to get much support from people tired of RINOs; calling the cops on someone who dares to ask questions isn't exactly going to help.
And maybe somebody should have some words with the local PD, too:
Minutes later a police car drove into the parking lot with its lights flashing. Officer Grolman informed me that she was called because "there was a little bit of an uncomfortable situation" and then took down my name, date of birth, and address.

"Maybe we do things a little differently here, but you know, persistence in that area, you scared the candidate a little bit," Officer Grolman told me.

"[Scozzafava] got startled, that's all," Officer Grolman added. "It's not like you're in any trouble."

That was good to hear
.
Doesn't seem like it should be part of the officer's job to basically warn people off of asking questions that 'scare' the candidate.

Back to the Evil Party side,
"Mr. Towns, a New York Democrat who also received mortgages from the unit that processed the VIP loans but claims he received no favors, has opposed such a subpoena. But can he count on his Democratic colleagues to vote it down? Perhaps Mr. Towns would rather not find out. Mr. Issa showed up for the scheduled 2 p.m. markup on Thursday hoping that a few Democrats would vote his way and allow the investigation to proceed. Then a strange thing happened: As Mr. Issa and the GOP members of the committee sat waiting for the meeting to begin, Democrats huddled in a back room without explanation. Thirty-five minutes later, the committee announced that the meeting had been postponed indefinitely.
They really don't want anyone actually investigating the Friends of Angelo, do they?

Well, this is wonderful:
A United States-based organization’s conference on breast cancer awareness, to be hosted in Egypt, has been touted by international news networks as an example of “unprecedented cooperation” in the region. However, according to Channel 2 news, the celebration of unity may be premature, as Israeli doctors were told at the last minute that their invitations to participate had been rescinded.

The conference will be held in Alexandria, Egypt this week, under the auspices of the American group Susan G. Komen for the Cure – the world’s largest breast cancer advocacy organization. It is to include meetings between leading researchers from the U.S. and several Mideast countries.

Israeli doctors were invited to the event as well, and several had planned to attend. However, on Sunday night, the doctors received brief notices telling them that they were no longer invited to the conference, by order of Egyptian Health Minister Hatem el-Gabali
.

I do wonder, how many of the major media clowns are helping, or want to help, the Obama administration with doing damage to non-ass-kissing media?

That's enough for one morning, powder to burn, targets to hole.

Let's not go a bridge too far on the second Maoist stuff. The second one just quoted Mao's "political power grows from the barrel of a gun" saying, and that's one I quote myself. I'm certainly no Maoist, but I recognize the reality of the statement (and keep it in mind all the time.)

Dunn's statement was an entirely different animal. She stated Mao was one of her two favorite philosophers. Let's not water that down by overreaching on the others.

The good news is these guys have terrible OPSEC. If he really is a Maoist, he'll tell us explicitly if we just give him a chance.

Controlling the media. Isn't that one of the steps to tyranny? Isn't that called "propaganda"?

RE: Ms Scozzafava; Sounds like she needs to grow a hide to cover that thin "I'm a victim" skin. As well as learn her subject matter and talking points better. Then she won't be "scared" or "startled".

Phelps, your point is taken; it's just that I no longer grant any slack to these people, so I have a hard time taking it as just a passing reference.

Especially when he's here in the US saying that to a union; makes me wonder just what's going through his mind.

If Ms Scozzafava is so "startled" and "scared" by someone asking a question in a meeting with a bunch of other people without having to call the police, how will she have the strength of character to stand up in Congress and say things that others disagree with and tell her so? This doesn't seem to be such a good career move for her.

And as for the man who asked the question, I am reminded of "Red Will" Dannaher in "The Quiet Man",
who made a point of putting the names of people he felt crossed him "into my book" and then striking a line through it. Like Mr. Fahy, "EFF, Aye, Haich, Wye", I would want my name spelled correctly.

Such a stunt is unbecoming of a REpublican Candidate, and she is indeed a DIABLO.
