Online underwear shopping

It seems I live a sheltered life, and I may have to bleach my brain

Steve has a post about his new undies, which got me thinking about some new underwear. In Oklahoma in summer, microfiber sounds like a good idea, so I looked up Unico and microfiber boxers. Which led to a some websites. Which led me to two conclusions:
Yeah, I'm cheap: $20 to $30 for underwear sounds insane.
Steve's right; a lot of this looks like something Jack would wear on Will & Grace on an especially gay day. I mean, 'Men's Padded Rear Boxer Brief for Butt Lift'? For real?

I may just get another Utilikilt and go regimental, and to hell with it.

Heck, I still have underwear from the old days, back when underwear was still made in the USA.

Firehand,

None at all is the way to go. ;) I'm just sayin'.

Would you feel better if they made 'em in jungle camo, dude? ;-) "Steamroller action crushing all, victim is your name and you shall faaaaallll...."

Pistolero, jungle camo in undies or the Utilikilt? Any camo Utilikilt would be extra awesome, since I think they don't make them anymore (tho other companies do); either way, ladies love the kilt!

If I'm at the point my netherstockings have to be camo so I can hide, then I'm probably screwed. And not in a good way.

Both my belted plaids are patterns that will fit into the woods quite well if I wear them there, but my Utilikilt is khaki. And yeah, even in hot weather a kilt is nice.

Someone once asked me what I was wearing under the plaid: "Nothing."
"Nothing?!"
"It's Oklahoma and I've got five yards of wool around me, I'm not wearin' anything under it I don't have to."

Either one, but mainly the unmentionables. And Firehand, it wasn't about hiding, it was just about the aesthetics. Camo is a manly color, no? Or, shall we say, melange of colors? ;-) "Yeah, they call me the workin' man, I guess that's what I am..."

Firehand,

I'm curious, which tartan do you wear?

Here's mine: http://www.ccsna.org/tartan/loudoun.htm

I don't mind colors; hell, I lIKE colors. It's the "This underwear cups Big Jim and the Twins and presents them for inspection!" design that I'm having trouble with. If I'm ready to present them for inspection to a lady, I don't need the undies to do it. And it ain't gonna be at the beach.

Fire, I call it 'O'Hancocks' tartan; I found one I liked and bought it. For something I was going to wear for hard use, including around a forge, no way I was going to pay $40-60/yard for official tartan. I'll try to find a shot of it to post.

"O'Hancocks" Heh, sounds like the names I came up with spur-o-the-moment at RenFair once, to describe the "Walton of Arkansaw" and "Sears of Roebuck" flannel shirts I had.

I know how ridiculously priced tartans are. SHEEESH! It's crazy. And for the work that you would be doing in them, hell, you could just wear one of those manly, heavy aprons. Clothing under it would be totally up to you. Something to think about.

If you find a pic of the tartan, email it to me.
